Title: With Stolen Wings

Title: With Stolen Wings

Rating: Er… K? Yeah, K. Nothing bad in here. 8D

Author's note: This is a poem (-shock/horrorz-) that I came up with one day while staring at my computer. (If you must know, I was waiting for it to load, dummy.) When I retold it to my friend as best as I could (I didn't write it down when I thought of it) she said it sounds like what L would think of Kira if they were in loved. And I said: HOLY SHIZ YOU'RE RIGHT. So I decided to write down what I remembered and submit it here. I write poetry occasionally, but I've recently gotten more into it because of the poetry unit we're doing in school right now.

Hell, I might even use this one the next time we have to submit a poem. –shifty eyes- everybody's poems are so morbid, too. It's like we're just a bunch of mini-emo's. XD But we're not.

Summary: It's an effing poem. THERE IS NONE. Well, at least… read what I said in the author's note, okay? D8

Pairings: LxLight, LxKira. (Yes… I consider it a difference, people.)

Disclaimer: All right. There's one thing I need to say: The line "With stolen wings we cannot fly" is NOT my own. I know I got it from a very talented person on deviantArt (dot) com, and if they're reading this, I really hope I'm not pissing you off by using your line. It's wonderful, and I thank you for giving me inspiration.

Now, about the poem. THAT is my own. And if you steal it, I will beat the stupid out of you. 8D

With Stolen Wings

With stolen wings we cannot fly,

I can see the darkness in your eyes.

Do you know what you do is wrong?

Someone tell me why you carry on.

With stolen wings you cannot fly,

You can see the sadness in my eyes.

Try to fix it,

End up leaving me to rot.

It's killing me to know,

What you say you're not.

With stolen wings,

You teach me how to fly.

Wishing I could see the love in your eyes.

But it's not there,

It never was.

With stolen wings I now fly.

They were yours once,

Because I said goodbye.

Looking for something,

Deep inside your eyes.

You proved it to be just a game…

I'm glad I never played.
