Prompt: An alternate wedding
Characters: Loki/Sigyn
I do not own anything. If I did, Loki would be the main character.
Sigyn waited until Lady Sif and the Warriors Three had left the palace throne room in haste. Fandral and Hogun saw her, bowed their heads and left. She exchanged the same respect and rolled her eyes when she was sure they were out of sight. She walked forward to her husband sitting on the throne of power. Until Odin awakened he was king and that mean she was queen. She turned to the guards.
"May we have some privacy?" She asked. The guards turned to Loki and he nodded to them. The guards bowed and left them alone.
"My King," Sigyn said proudly and bowed before her husband. Loki's smile curled and he brought his hand toward her. She strolled up the stairs, holding her tunic up to make the path clearer for her to walk. She took his hand, bowed on one knee and kissed it. He lifted her head with a finger under her chin.
"You are my Queen and you shall stand by my side." He said. She placed one leg on each side of his thigh and kissed him. Her fingers ran up and down his knuckles and onto the smooth golden metal of Gungnir.
"Your father is lucky to have such a wise king to take his place." She stroked his cheek. "When he awake he shall forget all about Thor and see the worthy son. Odin is Allfather of the Nine Realms, but you shall be Loki the Great."
Loki enjoyed it when she stroked his ego. He took her hand in his so they both could feel the power of Gungnir flowing under their magical fingertips. "Sigyn, marry me."
"We're already married. Why do we need to repeat the agonizing process?" she asked, placing her chin on his shoulder.
"This time shall be proper." He took her by the hand and led her toward the balcony overlooking the Bifrost and the kingdom. With a swift movement of his hand he made a long white cloth appear before her and wrapped it over her head. He pulled from his robes two silver rings in the shape of snakes interlocking together.
"Loki Odinson, Great King of Asgard and Protector of the Nine Realms, do you take Sigyn Iwaldidottir to be your wife once more? Do you swear to stand by her side, to be loyal and never allow any man to tear this bond asunder?" He slipped the ring on her finger replacing the gold one she once had. "I swear." He said.
Sigyn smiled and watched the snakes cling onto her finger. He continued. "Sigyn Iwaldidottir, do you swear to love, honor and obey your husband, Loki Odinson? Do you swear to stand by his side through illness and health, to bear him children, and to never let any man tear this bond asunder?"
"I swear." She said and slipped his ring on his finger. The snaked tightened around his finger.
"Then with power vested in me by my kingdom, I pronounce us man and wife." He pulled her into a deep kiss. The hand that kept the white veil from slipping off from the wind let go and wrapped her arms around his neck. The veil fell off her head and flew away into the city down below. Their fingers locked together and their bodies glued close, chest to chest. Loki stopped to look at her and held her ring finger.
"This ring never leaves your finger. Even if it snatches every hair from upon your head or takes out my own eye, you shall never let this finger go naked as long as we're living. Do you understand?"
"Yes, my King." She said, pulling him into another kiss.
