The Best Christmas Ever
Chapter 1
Lights twinkled on the 7' Christmas tree that sat in the window of Brooke Davis' house in Tree Hill. She loved Christmas the most of all the holidays of the year because that was the time of year that her and her friends could hang out and not be interrupted by all the teen drama of high school.
It was 5:30 and she was waiting for her friends Peyton Sawyer, Haley James-Scott, Nathan Scott, and her boyfriend Lucas to come over so they could exchange gifts.
Just as she was grabbing a baby pink ornament that read "Brooke's 1st Christmas" on it, she saw headlights coming up her driveway. She put the ornament on the tree, grabbed her jacket and boots, and ran outside to meet her friends coming out of the car. She hugged them all and as Lucas stepped out, she planted a soft kiss on his lips.
"Hey, Broody. Come on in guys. I made hot chocolate."
The friends gathered around the coffee table in the living room and handed out the gifts. After they were done, they sat in front of the TV and watched the Christmas specials that were on. Nathan and Haley snuggled close, Brooke and Lucas the same, and Peyton sitting in a chair all by herself. She missed Jake so much. He had left a few months ago to go find his daughter Jenny who was stolen by his ex-wife Nikki.
Suddenly the doorbell rang. "Brooke, I thought we were the only ones you invited over!" Peyton replied in an odd tone. Brooke just winked at everybody. Peyton opened the door and…….
"Hi"
"Hi"
"Ummmm. I'll be right back." As Peyton steps out the door
"I missed you". She hugged Jake and cried into his shoulder. As they let go of each other, he kissed her softly on the lips. As they looked at each other, Jake started to laugh.
"What's so funny?"
He pointed to the front window where the tree was standing and she saw all her friends waving and smiling at them. They started laughing.
"It's cold out here. Wanna come inside?"
"Sure. I'd love to!"
