Hoshitani walks into the practice hall, a very tired smile on his face. Nayuki following cautiously behind him. "Oi. You're late, your boors," Tengenji says. Tsukigami while stretching in a corner, "Yeah. What took you so long?" Kuga was just silent, as usual. "S-sorry we're late," Nayuki says nervously. Hoshitani just keeps silent. Everyone was silent as they notice that their leader was usually silent.
"Ok. What's wrong with you?" Tsukigami asks, noticing the bags under his eyes. "Yeah. Did you get enough sleep last night, you boor?" Tengenji asks. "Well, that's obvious, isn't it?" Tsukigami responds. "What was that?!" Tengenji retorts. Then, they both start bickering again. Loudly.
Then Hoshitani exploded. "That's enough! Will you two just shut up, and kiss already? Geez! Your bickering is giving me a headache!" Everyone in the room was shocked, especially Tsukigami and Tengenji. They immediately stopped bickering, and just stared at their leader, mouths agape. Then, they blushed at the kiss comment. It was then that Otori came by.
Looking at his students, he saw Tsukigami and Tengenji blushing, Nayuki not knowing what to do, Kuga being his usual self, and Hoshitani with a hand to his head. Curious, he asks, "What's going on?" Nayuki explains, "W-well, Hoshitani-kun's been having a hard time sleeping lately, so he's cranky. He's been this way all day."
Nodding in understanding, Kuga approaches Hoshitani carefully, then pats his head. Looking up, Hoshitani sees Kuga, and relaxes slightly. He still had a fiery look in his eyes though. Then, Otori approaches too, and rubs Hoshitani's head, messing up his hair. Blinking in confusion, Hoshitani looks at Otori, who was smiling, then relaxes a bit more, a small smile forming on his face, leaning into his touch.
Kuga and Otori look at each other, then nod, having the same idea. Kuga sits on one end of the couch as Otori guides Hoshitani towards the other end. Otori sat down first, then pulled Hoshitani's head into his lap, placing him on his side. Kuga lifted his legs, and settled them into his lap too. Hoshitani was virtually laying down on them from both ends of the couch. Blinking, Hoshitani tries to speak up, but Otori just pets his head. 'That feels good.' Hoshitani quickly falls asleep. Tsukigami, Tengeji, and Nayuki are amazed at this.
Whispering, Otori says, "You guys can leave early today. We'll stay here and make sure he sleeps." Kuga nods in agreement since he has no work today. Nodding at this slightly awkward situation, they leave as quietly as possible, not wanting to wake Hoshitani up. Once they shut the door, they had only one thought in their heads, 'They like him that much, huh.'
Otori just keeps petting Hoshitani's head for awhile, Kuga falling asleep too. He looks at them both and smiles. 'They're so cute. Especially Hoshitani.' Eventually, he falls asleep too.
When they wake up, it's night already. *Yawns* "Wha...," Hoshitani sees that he's in Otori's lap, and jumps up, startled and awake, "Eep!" Waking up at the noise, both Kuga and Otori get up to see Hoshitani, who's very startled.
"Um..," then Hoshitani remembered what happened, "Ah. I'm sorry! You guys had to.." "Pet you to sleep?" Otori says teasingly. Blushing, Hoshitani responds, "Y-yeah." "Don't worry about it," Kuga says. "Just try to get more sleep from now on. And...if you ever need someone to pet you again, call me," Otori offers. "Or me," Kuga offers too. Blushing harder, Hoshitani smiles, "Ok!"
From then on, those three had a very awkward but very cuddly relationship.
