"Nice to meet you!" Hakkinen, one of the players on Finland's team, finished his introduction by giving them the most dazzling smile Sena had seen in his entire life.
'His teeth, they're so white!' He couldn't help but think in shock. 'I can practically see them sparkling!'
"Nice to meet you!" Yamato repeated as he extended a hand forward, which the Finnish player took and shook respectfully. "I'm Yamato. My, what wonderful teeth. As expected from the best country in tooth care, Finland."
Sena watched on, for some reason feeling sort of amazed that Yamato could be so close to the other boy without having to wear sunglasses or something.
"Yes! Teeth are the life of a sportsman!" Hakkinen answered back. "If you grit your teeth, your explosive power can increase by several times!"
Sena wasn't really sure that was how it worked, but he wasn't going to bother saying anything.
"Some kind of refreshing aura is coming from those two." Kid remarked from behind him and Sena nodded along, immediately freezing up when Hakkinen turned to look at him, stepping forward and extending his hand.
"And you are?" He asked and Sena was for some reason struck speechless, staring at the other boy until his smile began to falter and his hand began moving back.
Realizing he was probably coming off as extremely rude without meaning to Sena immediately reached out for Hakkinen's hand with both of his, grasping it and shaking it while bowing over out of habit.
"I-I'm Kobayakawa Sena! It's very nice to meet you!" He exclaimed, rising up from his bow nervously. "Sorry if I seemed rude, I've just, well, I've never seen such perfect teeth before. It kind of shocked me. You have a really, really nice smile." The edges of Sena's lips rose uncertainly and he pulled away the unnecessary hand that he'd clasped overtop of the other boy's.
Hakkinen's smile quickly returned in all it's sparkling glory. "Why thank you, and, if I may say so, you have a very lovely smile too."
Sena's cheeks went pink and he relaxed a little now that he knew he hadn't offended the other player. "Thank you." He said, smile widening even more of it's own accord.
Then he realized Hakkinen hadn't let go of his hand yet.
"Um..." He glanced down at their joined hands and, after following his line of sight, the Finnish player quickly let go.
"Ah, sorry, I was just distracted for a moment. Your smile's quite charming, I hope I get to see more of it as the tournament goes on."
Sena flushed darker and, for some reason, couldn't help but feel as though murderous intent was being sent their way.
'It's probably just my imagination.'
