Mrs Kotter was in the principle's office. She was sitting with her bare feet propped on the desk.

Arnold came in. "Hi, Mrs Kotter."

"Hi, Arnold. What'cha doing?"

"Your husband asked me to pick up a test paper. . . ah, there it is." He took it. Then he looked at her. "Why are you sitting like that, Mrs Kotter?"

"I'm just resting a bit."

"Oh."

He walked over to her feet and began rubbing them. She smiled. "That feels nice, Arnold."

"Thank you, Mrs Kotter."

He continued doing this for a few seconds. Finally, she said, "Don't you have to go, Arnold?"

"Go?"

"To class."

"Oh, yeah! See ya later, Mrs Kotter."

"Bye—and thanks for the massage."

"Any time, Mrs Kotter!"

He went into the classroom. He put the paper on Mr Kotter's desk, then sat in his chair. He signed happily.

"What are you grinning at?" said Boom-Boom.

"I'm in love!"

And who's the lucky girl?" said Juan.

"Mrs Kotter!"

"MRS KOTTER?!" they all said together.

"Isn't she beautiful? She just let me massage her feet. I'm in heaven! I plan to make her mine. First her feet, then her heart!" He laughed.

"Yeah, well what about Mr Kotter?" said Vinny.

"He'll just have to step aside!"

The guys shook their heads and laughed.

The bell rang and Mr Kotter walked in. Arnold got up and walked over to him.

"Your wife has beautiful feet!" he said. Then he sat back down. Again, the guys laughed.

Soon, it became "common knowledge" that Arnold was in love with Mrs Kotter.

The next day,as he was headed to class, she met up with him in the hallway.

"Hi, Arnold. Could you come with me, for a moment."

"Sure."

She led him to the principle's office.

"What's up, honey?"

"That's what I wanted to talk with you about. To be blunt, I'm not in love with you, Arnold."

This crushed him. "You're not?"

"I'm sorry, Arnold. You're a very kind and sweet guy, and I'm fond of you. But I'm married, and I'm twice your age, anyway."

"I see."

"There are plenty of girls your age who would love to be with a guy like you."

"If you wasn't married, do you think you could go for me?"

"Yes, I probably would."

"That makes me feel better!"

"No hard feelings?"

"No, I guess not."

"Thanks." She kissed him on the cheek. "You give good massages!"

He smiled. "Thank you, Mrs Kotter!"

He went to class. She stayed in the office.
