Groaning in annoyance, Fionna and Cake sat up from their beds after hearing a knock at their front door. "It's almost midnight!" Fionna complained before Cake stretched her long arm around her friends waist and headed downstairs. Opening the door to find Marshall Lee there, was both surprising and unsurprising at the same time for the duo. Cake immediately hissed and backed away, receiving a hiss back from the Vampire king before he laughed and looked at Fionna. "Hey there girl, wanna come with little 'ol me to an undead party in the woods nearby?" he asked, holding up a slightly torn up poster in front of the hero's face.

Fionna scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You woke me up for this?" she asked sarcastically. Debating on weather or not to kill the vampire, she huffed, telling herself it wasn't a very heroic thing to do. "Fine, we'll go, but only because we can't go back to sleep."

Timeskip

Surprisingly, Marshall informed Fionna that he actually wasn't going to be playing for them tonight, he was just here for the fun this time. Cake and Fionna, like the best buds they were, stayed close to one another, getting lost in the crowd, and also separated from their cold blooded friend. The vampire strolled around the outskirts of the crowd, leaning against a large oak tree before jumping slightly at the sound of his name coming from his left.

"Marshall Lee, what a surprise~ Shouldn't you be up on stage playing some lovely music for us?" The person asked. Lee turned his head only to make eye contact with the most breathtaking (E/c) eyes he'd ever seen. Words caught in his throat before confusion took him over.

'Who is that? Why is this person making me feel strange? Wait, how does he know me?'

Shaking his head, Marshall's thoughts finally caught up with him. "Uh, who are you? How do you know me?" he asked. Chuckling smoothly, the stranger seemed to dodge the first question. "Well, who doesn't know you, darlin'?" Cue a very shook Marshall Lee. Suddenly, the vampire felt very weak to this man's gaze, slightly shivering as he realized that the stranger began approaching him; getting closer, and closer, and-

"There you are Marsh!" Turning around, Marshall noticed Fionna and Cake jogging up to where he was standing. He waved at them before turning to look at the man from before, only to find out he wasn't there. Biting the inside of his cheek, Marsh turned his attention back to his friends, those (E/c) eyes lingering at the back of his mind for the rest of the night.
