Notes: More Seiken Densetsu III fanwork. ;) May as well clear up my dry spell there. A poem now for Koren, spoilerish of how his part in things ends and some of his background.

Granted Wishes
A frozen land of ice and snow,
Without and within
I fast found;
Altena was that and little more.
Those without
some magic to show...
We knew only shame unbound.
As alike and unlike as sun and moon,
A bratty
princess and a quiet me,
We both knew the disdain of our
home.
Yet, I told myself, someday soon-
I would be greater than
them all to see.
A child's wish is a frightful thing,
We never
think of how they will end;
Mine began as a dream and became a
nightmare.
Had I only known what mine would bring,
I could have
stopped and stood by my only friend.
Yet another wish I have made,
One that shall go
unheard-
I cannot stay here any longer I fear.
Reality before
me has been laid,
I can't let myself be held by any tearful word.
Good bye Angela, I wish you well-
And beg you not
to think ill of me;
Don't remember me as the Red Wizard...
Just
let me in your memory dwell,
While from this life of granted
wishes I flee.
