Disclaimer: If I owned Naruto I would not be up-loading this story on fanfiction!
Author's Note: Beware, I've written a lot of my stories while I've been listening to music, so I will often have the name of a specific song that goes well with the story. And you'd be surprised at how a song can add to the story. Anyway the name of the song that I wrote this story with.
Remembrance-Audiomachine (AWESOME song!)
You can look it up on youtube, for some reason won't let me paste the link, but oh well. Hope you all enjoy the story!

The soft patter of rain was heard throughout the Village Hidden in the Leaves. A lone figure stood before the Konoha memorial stone, ignoring the soaking rain, lost in memories. Today was that Day.
-
"Rin!"
"Go on! You have to get this information to the Hokage!"
"But-"
"Not buts! I'll be fine!"
-
The anniversary of the day he lost it all; the day he became the last surviving member of Team Minato.
-
"They'll be on us any minute, you have to go!"
-
The day Kakashi Hatake broke his promise to his deceased teammate, the day he couldn't, no, didn't keep Rin alive.
-
"But I promised Obito!"
"Kakashi remember you duty to your village, your mission, your Hokage! Someone has to stay behind to hold them off."
"Then I'll do it!"
-
Kakashi felt a pang in his heart, like with Obito, he had failed. He didn't keep his Hokage alive, his sensei.
-
"No, Kakashi! You're faster, and this information is vital to the survival of the Village! Obito wouldn't want the village to be destroyed just because of me! You know your duty Kakashi! Do what has to be done!"
-
And then with Rin…
-
"I'm sorry, Kakashi, she was already dead by the time the medical squad got there…if its any comfort, she wiped out the ANBU that were tailing you, she died fighting. Like she always wanted to."
-
"Like she always wanted to…" Those words echoed in his mind.
-
It was also the day that Kakashi had learned the true meaning of friendship, the anniversary on which his fellow Jonin and ANBU gathered around to support on of their own.
It was the day when Gai woke him up at five o'clock in the morning (which was better than his usually four o'clock wakeup) and wouldn't leave him alone until he sparred with him.
-
"Come spar with me, my eternal rival!"
-
It was the day that Asuma asked Kakashi to help him pick out some flowers for his apartment, even though everyone knew they were really for Kurenai.
-
"Hey Kakashi do you want to…!"
-
It was the day that Genma and Raido stopped by his house with lunch, saying that they had bought too much to eat themselves.
-
"I kept telling Genma that we ordered too much!"
-
It was the afternoon on which Ibiki and a certain purpled hair kunonchi dropped off a package of dango's, (Ibiki muttered something about being dragged along, but Kakashi knew otherwise.)
-
"Crazy kunoichi."
-
And it was the night that Tenzo and Yugao dragged him out of his house to treat him to dinner.
-
"Come on Kakashi, some fresh air would do you some good!"
-
It was good to have friends. Yes, this was supposed to be the anniversary of the day he lost everything. But really, this was the day that he was reminded of how much he hadn't lost.

Cheers to Kakashi, and his wonderful friends! lol.
Please review, as this is my first Kakashi fanfic, and one of the first stories I've uploaded please comment, I'm open to any constructive criticism. Be it characterization, plot, etc...
Also I'm probably going to do a behind the scenes story that shows what happened that day.
