The Danny Phantom Version
Chapter 1
"The Chance Encounter"
Author's note: This may be the start of a series of Fan-fictions or it might not be, depending on if I get bored with it or not. Updates will be Sporadic as I sometimes work on more than 1 fan-fic at once. Read on and (hopefully) enjoy!
It is a swelteringly hot spring day. Danny, Sam, and Tucker have just gotten out of school. As they stand outside Casper High, a school bus tries to come to a stop, but its brakes fail and the bus careens down the road, running over a man. "Holy crap!" Tucker said as they all look toward the scene of the accident. As Danny looks, a 8-foot tall being in a black robe with a hood covering their face and a gaunt, brown-haired bespectacled boy that looks to be a bit older than Danny, also in a black robe, come down from the sky on a huge milky white horse with a majestic saddle trimmed with silver.
The 2 figures dismount and the tall figure takes out a long, slightly curved stick. Danny notice the figure's hands are just bone. As the stick turns, a thin curved blade (so thin as to be visible only at a certain angle when the light glints off of it) appears. It is only then when Danny notices a thin line of light coming off of the struck man's body that ends in a strangely hazy patch of air a little ways away.
The tall figure swings the scythe, for that is what the curved stick is, at the thin blue line, cutting it. The hazy patch of air quickly contracts into a mote of light that the tall figure gingerly picks out of the air and places in its' robe. It is then that Danny notices the other figure, the boy, staring right at him. The boy turns to the tall figure and says something. The tall figure turns and Danny sees that, just as he expected, the figure has just a skull for a head. The tall figure then looks at Danny. Danny notices that there is pale and gentle blue light pouring out of the skull's eye sockets.
"Uh guys, do you see what I see?" Danny asks as a crowd gathers around the accident scene. "What, the man lying dying in the street?" Sam asks in response. "No, I'm talking about the two people in black robes over there. One of them is a boy that looks about our age, and I'm pretty sure the other one is Death. So it's probably safe to say that guy is dead."Danny said, his voice quivering slightly
"They're getting back on the horse and.." "Wait, there is definitely no horse over there, Danny." Tucker interjects. "Yes there is! There is a great big horse over there." Danny replies pleadingly. "Alright, I don't want to start an argument. What are the people doing now that they're back on your big brown horse?" Tuckers asks. "The horse is white!" Danny says forcefully, "Okaaaaaay, What are they doing now that they're back on the big WHITE horse that no one else can see?" Tucker asks
"The boy is waving slightly at me. Well, now the horse is running upwards into the sky and, well they just disappeared." Danny said "Are you sure it's not the heat getting to you?" Sam asks concerned. "Well, it's possible, but…" Danny replied. "Well, there you go. Now let's go home before you start seeing more weird stuff." Tucker said, as the three walked along.
