"Tweek, hon, calm down." Annabell Adams held her smaller friend in her lap and subconsciously started rocking back and forth. Taking care of Tweek was a lot like taking care of a scared toddler. You had to be patient and soothing. She learned this when they were 8, and got pretty angry when their friends were mean to him. But they were all kids, how the hell was an 8 year old supposed to know. Ok, Annabell knew, but she learned a lot from her older sister who was 16 at the time, so yeah.
"But they're out to get me."
"No one's out to get you, Tweek. Why would they want a normal 17 year old boy?"
"The boy stopped twitching, as much, to turn around and look at her with his eyebrow raised. Nobody sane called Tweek normal.
"What?"
"You're crazier than I am if you think I'm normal."
"You're not crazy. You're just really paranoid."
"That's not normal."
"Fine. My statement still stands. Who would want a paranoid 17 year old boy?"
Tweek turned back to facing Annabell's bedroom wall "I don't know man. There are lots of people."
"Who?"
"I don't know. Maybe they're just after the school, or South Park? Maybe they're not after me, but I just get caught up in everything?"
"Who the hell is "they"?"
"Anyone. I'm still not a hundred percent sure if it's smart of me to trust you like this.
"Annabell smiled and held Tweek closer. "Don't worry. All my plans to destroy the world have nothing to do with you."
""WHAT?!"
"Joking, joking. I'm not destroying the world. Or anything for that matter."
"Oh Kay. Don't tease about that kind of stuff."
"I know, I know. I'm sorry." Annabell buried her face in his back, still rocking "Do you wanna watch a movie or something?"
"No."
"Do you wanna talk about conspiracies?"
"Kinda."
"Ok. Apple is totally up to something."
"Right? Everyone thinks I'm lying, but that's just because they can't give up their precious iPhones, but there is no way…" Annabell zoned out from the conversation and just smiled. Things were ok when Tweek was safe.
