The Little Mermaid
Watch her on the rocks below,
Brushing her hair with a gold comb,
Hair soft as silk, skin white as snow,
She hums a melody, cheerful and low.
Quickly, follow her !
As she swims below, the surface of the water,
to the depths unknown.
She swims elegantly,she swims slow,
Her long tail, full of colour, light and glow,
Its patterns shimmering, glistening and contracting,
Almost like magic, could it be magic?
At last she reaches, her mysterious destination,
Filled with music, laughter and joy,
Watch in wonder, watch in awe,
The fairytale kingdom, you so long searched for,
This is the mermaids world, this is the mermaids home,
Do not forget and do not return.
