Starting over with what was formerly Yankee with some more thought put into it and something I actually enjoy doing even though I have other stories on my plate that I need to work on. I found this sitting in my file folder and I had to look at it again and re-do it. I improved it somewhat with the small grammar errors I made and I made it a little longer to suit my tastes. Anyways, give it a shot- if you like it awesome, if you don't then to bad for me. -shrugs- that doesn't mean I'm going to stop doing what I like.

Present Day Karakura Town:

Annoyed cerulean eyes glared intensely at their challenger who sat across from them. They sat hunched over the table that was between them. Their foreheads smashed together and neither willing to give in...

"Give up Jinta; you'll never win against the champ!" The owner of the oceanic eyes declared as their dark hair fell from its clip, hanging in tendrils brushing against her chin and Jinta's nose. She grinned as his nose noticeably twitched from the light feathery touch. Brown eyes of the young boy narrowed in his irritation.

"Forget it Kaminari, I'm going to kick your ass!"

"You wish cupcake, you're going down!" She snarled pushing harder against him, nearly knocking over their tea that had been set out by Ururu.

"My my...are those two at it again?" came from behind Jinta, it must've been Urahara. Tessai was out shopping and running errands with purple haired girl...

Honokaa looked up from Jinta's eyes to meet with Kisuke's lazy steel grey ones. She merely smirked in greeting and went back to their 'contest'. He moved to sit on the side of the table where it wasn't occupied by their junk. This happened to be on Honokaa's right...

"Do I even want to know what you two are fighting over this time? Or did Jinta finally admit he likes you! Oh hohoho, "The blond waved his fan flashing a smirk telling her to play along with his teasing.

"..." She had never seen Jinta's face get so red. It almost rivaled his hair-almost, but not quite...yet.

"Maa..Honokaa-chan, was it really necessary to go that far?" Her blonde manager fussed as he watched the red haired young man stomp his way out of the room.

Said teen only smirked in response but still replied, "Honestly Urahara, it's not like it matters. He'll get over it by tomorrow. If not, then maybe I might apologize."

He only sighed knowing it was undeniable that the boy couldn't stay mad at her for long. After all Jinta looked up to her in a way. Not that he would admit it out loud of course but it never stopped the others who worked with him from noticing the awed stares he would send after her from time to time.

The comfortable silence was interrupted by the sliding of the doors as the opened revealing Tessai whom held an envelope in his hands.

"Kaminari-san, it seems you have received mail here by accident." The large hulking male addressed her while nodding in greetings to Kisuke.

'What on earth? This can't be good.' She thought to herself opening the parchment handed to her.

The dark haired teen silently let her eyes roam the letter skimming its contents, only nodding from time to time making the two men wonder what it could be about to cause such a tense and serious atmosphere.

"I see…" was all she said before she stood and gathered her belongings to take her leave.
