This was actually for my GATE English class, but I thought it would make a pretty good fic as well.
Dear Diary,
Plans are going perfectly. Though I am a giant fiery eyeball, I can still think, plan, and strategize.
Which is why I'm having an Orc write this down for me. So that one day I can show my subjects my great thinking and thoughts, before I became ruler of all Middle Earth.
Anyways, my rise to power is going well. I feel myself gain power every day. I'm getting stronger, and once I get my ring back I'll be unstoppable.
My ring. Those words come with feelings of sorrow, power, and want.
I want it back.
I want it so I can feel it again. I want to feel the power coursing through my veins. I want to be in control, in control of everyone and everything. I want to be the ultimate ruler.
I can't do that without my ring.
I had made it especially to help me with this quest. It had corrupted the Kings of Men quite nicely, and now they are my slaves forever. Just one example of my ring's power.
Speaking of power, Are the Orcs ready yet? I telepathically ask Saruman.
Not quite yet, my lord, He replies.
I mentally frown. Why aren't they ready yet? I gave him lots of materials and plenty of time already. What was taking so long?
We will be ready within a fortnight, Saruman replies.
Faster, I demand. I need my army now. My ring is waiting for me.
Within a week, Saruman replies with some hesitation.
Fine, I grudgingly reply. It will do. Meanwhile my ring will make its way towards me. I know it. It won't abandon me.
Speaking of, I think that foolish little hobbit just put on my ring again. He is in Amon Sul.
Fly! I command the Nazgȗl, Retrieve your master!
I feel them ride at top speed towards the ring. I might be getting it back sooner than I thought.
I feel them injure the hobbit, and I feel him slowly turning into one of the Nazgȗl.
Yes, I think, become one of my servants, and then you will bring my ring back to me!
No! A she-elf has escaped with the hobbit and heal him. Ugh, I hate elf-scum!
No matter, my ring will come back to me.
All in good time.
I know it's not really accurate, but I was wondering if Sauron could still use his mind or if he was just held together by his want for the ring. I went with the first one, as you can see.
I would really appreciate a review!
