How to Beta For Dummies

Don't know how to be a Beta? Thats alright read this it shows the basics of being a Beta and showing how to get the stories back after being proofread. This will show you how to use the basics of being an author that can't access their proof read work.

Okay Peoples, it's been a long time since I have published anything and I have recently become a Beta (if you need one PM me).I am obsessed with grammar and proofreading and update quickly. I had no idea how to beta anything at all (in the beginning) so I decided to do something that no one has ever done before ( I couldn't find one). I guide how to be a Beta. I don't have a Beta for my stories and I will not ever have one, I'm capable of proofreading. (starts at when you already have a Beta)

Step 1: Log In. Then, you take your document and submit it through the Document Uploader. You can keep it in a Story form of change it into a DocX.

Step 2: Go to the DocX program. Read the DocX guide.(it does help).Click connections. You need to have you Beta pen name. Then Click the By Userid and change it to Pen name. Type in you Beta's pen name.

Step 3: Go to the outbox and choose the recipient. Next, choose the document that you are submitting. You can also comment on the document.

Step 4: Click Send Document. You can then scroll down and see if the document was received. All Documents send will be deleted after seven days, no matter the status of the document.

Step 5:The document will be sent to the Beta's email and will have a link to the download.

Step 6: Your Beta will repeat the process. But, Check you Inbox on the DocX instead of Outbox. Your Done! Submit the story to fanfiction!
