After the funeral life had been bliss. She and Remus had decided to try and date for a while, even though they both knew it was just a formality so that there friends would know that they weren't rushing into marriage. They also wanted to have their wedding after it was all over. Once the war was won and Harry was alive. But life doesn't always work that way. She had walked into the school one day to see Harry and Voldemort face off in the grand hall. None of the other Order members were there, it was just Harry and Voldemort. Tonks did something she would regret forever. She ran outside and sent a message to all the other Order member to get to the castle as soon as possible. Within 45 seconds everyone had apparated to the castle. Including Remus. When they saw each other they gave a smile saying that they would get through this. Oh the irony. Tonks stared at the remains of the battle. All the death eaters had been killed, and it looked like everyone in the Order was safe. Tonks walked up to Harry and gave him a hug, he had saved them all. Harry had defeated Voldemort and had saved his friends. Tonks looked around to everyone else holding each other, just happy that it was over for good. But as Tonks looked around she didn't see a particular face. He wasn't there. She walked over to where she had seen him last. He was gone, not gone as in missing, gone as in dead. Remus J. Lupin was dead. The love of her life was dead. Dead. She couldn't look at anyone, she saw his lifeless body and left the hall. Her mind didn't register where she was going and she didn't hear the people around her cheering. The only thing she could think was 'hes dead, hes never coming back, were never going to be married.' When her mind snapped back to reality she realized she was up in the divination tower. She took one look at the window. It was open. Her mind registered what she was going to do 'on little jump, like you are flying, then you can see him again, heck you can see anyone you have ever lost. You will finally be happy. So just do it, just jump into the arms of your love.' Her mind was right, she would be able to see Remus in the after life. Muggles didn't know it but witches and wizards had known about it for centuries. It was a place where everything was beautiful and everyone you had ever meet and lost was there waiting for you. So standing on the ledge, Tonks took a leap of faith.
