The day she promised me forever, I was lost for words.
But I knew a lifetime of happiness was in store.
When we woke in the morning, we were trapped in a blissful state.
We still couldn't believe that our dreams had finally come true.
She kissed my lips so tenderly, I felt as if I was born again.
I cradled her in my arms, feeling her heartbeat softly next to mine.
We talk about the future, and the plans that we have for it.
We'll build a house and a raise a family of our own.
It won't be easy, but we'll manage.
As long as we have each other, anything is possible.
Forever isn't long enough to enjoy all that life has to offer,
But if we could spend it together, it'd be worth it.
