Text Message
Bella's POV
I woke up to the sound of my phone; it was a text, from Jacob. I clicked on the text message and read:
Bella,
You Don't Need Edward, You Have Me,
Love Jacob
I was confused; I didn't understand what he meant. Later that day I saw Edward and told him about the text message, suddenly I saw Edward's face fill with anger, I watched him as he paced the kitchen.
"What else did he say?" He requested.
"Nothing that was the only text message I had from him." I replied, worrying what Edward would do."Edward please, promise me you won't do anything to Jacob,"
He paused, thinking about his answer then he finally answered me. "I promise" Edward replied.
I sighed with relief, if Charlie ever found out that Edward had hurt Jacob he wouldn't let me see him again, not that it would stop me. Edward acted weird all day, I was worried, I hadn't slept at all that night and then just when things couldn't get any worse I had another text, I was hoping it was from Edward. But it wasn't, it was another text from Jacob:
Bella,
Are you going to reply then???
Love Jacob
I was surprised, why did he want me to reply? Did he think I would stop seeing Edward. Well if he did, he was wrong. The next morning in school Jacob had text me while I was in biology, I kept ignoring them though, hoping he would finally realise I didn't want to reply, he didn't, my phone was buzzing in my pocket all day, I thought I shouldn't show Edward at first, but then Jacob was texting me so much I just couldn't hide it from him, so at lunch I gave Edward my phone.
"Why are you giving me your phone?" He asked surprisingly.
"Look at the messages" I replied.
As he read them his face began to fill up with anger again, he started to walk over to the table where Jacob and his friends were sat, but luckily Rosalie and Alice stopped him and walked with him over to our table.
"What do you think you are doing?" Alice asked Edward. Edward didn't reply he was too angry to reply.
I wanted to tell Alice what was wrong, but I thought I should wait until Edward directs me to tell her.
"Bella....Tell Alice...The...Text" He said through his gritted teeth.
"I had a text, off Jacob." I told Alice.
"I already know...duh, but I didn't see what they said, can I see them please?" She replied.
I decided to give Alice my phone instead of telling her what they said, she read the text messages, at first she looked a bit angry but then Jasper took hold of her hand and she calmed down.
"Thanks Jasper" she said in a really calm tone.
Emmett came over and sat down with us. "What's up with Edward?" He asked.
Rosalie replied to him "He has had...well a rough day today with things"
Emmett tried to act cool, "Bummer, bro."
Edward looked at Emmett and gave him a sly look, "Leave me alone Emmett, you don't understand, you never do, you never will!!"
The hall went silent, everyone looking at him, Edward rushed out the door, and I went to follow him.
"Stay here a minute Bella, Jasper will go help him "Alice reassured me. Jasper gave Alice a look "Gee, thanks Alice" Jasper said sarcastically.
Jasper went to go find Edward; I still hadn't seen him as the final bell of school went.
