Birth of Hope
I was born on a rocky trail outside the walls of Ba Sing Se.
The Avatar and his wife
(Though they were not yet married at the time)
Were there, and she was actually the midwife
Who aided my mother
In bringing me into the world.
The Avatar's Earthbending teacher made the rock tent in which my mother laboured.
And they named me
For what I gave the Avatar that day
And for what he gave the world.
"I know what I want to name our baby now."
