All right, so this is a bit of an angsty poem involving Blossom and Brick. Basically the plot is Blossom and Brick are in love, but then Brick gets into a giant accident which causes his death and Blossom gets really depressed, and Butch, who also loved Blossom, is trying to help her and this poem is about how Butch is trying to help her get through the depression, but it doesn't work and all she wants is to die. I sit alone inside my room
Begging the nightmares to end
You come to see me lying there
And cry for my heart that can't mend
It happened a year before today
The incident that caused all this pain
The death of someone close to me
It almost drove me insane
"He was such a nice person"
Most people would say
But to me he was different
I didn't see him their way
To me he was my lifeline
My only source of hope
We were hanging by a string
But now someone's cut the rope
I'm drowning now
In a sea of black
People try to bring me up
But I can never get back
Back to who I was in the past
Who I was before
A never-ending optimist
Always finding an open door
Now I only sit and sulk
Rarely do I eat
You try to help me recover now
But you are so dead beat
I cause everyone pain these days
And I'm ashamed of me
Just leave me now to die in this room
I'll let you go free
You have a life to go back to
Family and friends
I'll just lie here on my bed
And hope this nightmare ends
Because the sooner I'm gone
Relief you will feel
You'll get back to a happy life
You'll get back to what's real
I'm drowning now
In a sea of red
I miss you, Brick
But now you're dead
