Yasusada and Kashuu sat on the floor, enjoying their bento lunches after a long day of field work.
Entranced by the sumptuous flaver, Yasusada began to dig in to his meal without restraint.
Kashuu watched the sword, slightly disgusted by his lack of manners. "You shouldn't eat so fast. It'll give you indigestion."
Yasusada glanced up. "What does that mean?" He asked, through a mouthful of rice.
"It means you-" He started, but stopped to laugh. "Oh, forget it. Look at you! You've got food all over."
Yasusada's cheeks flushed and he began rudding at his face with his light blue sleeves.
"Stop! You're making it worse," Kashuu said. He scooted closer until he was right in front of the other boy. "Let me do it."
Kashuu leaned in. Yasusada wasn't prepared for him to be so close. He was a mere inches away from his face. Yasusada instinctively recoiled, but the other sword came closer still.
"Hey…" Kashuu whispered against Yasusada's skin. "Now that I'm so close… I've realise something…"
Yasusada was going to ask what it was when a mischievous glint sparkled in Kashuu's eyes. It was slightly terrifying.
"I've realised… You've got rice everywhere!"
And before he could stop him, kashuu grabbed a hand full of the bento and shoved it all over Yasusada's face, making sure to rub it in.
"Kiyomitsu! Cut it out!" He cried, pushing the sword away.
Kashuu fell back, laughing like an idiot. "Don't be so upset. Rice masks tighten the skin."
Yasusada grabbed the box of food. "If that's the case then this shouldn't bother you at all!" And he threw his lunch right at Kashuu's head. It landed right on his forehead, sliding all the way down his face, leaving rice everywhere.
Now it was Yasusada's turn to laugh.
Kashuu glared through the mess. How dare he.
The battle was on.
After that, they spent the rest of their afternoon grabbing as much rice as their hands could hold and chasing each other all over the citadel, throwing rice all the way.
It was quite the mess.
