Based on this prompt from otpprompts: Imagine your OTP is watching the stars and Person A closes their eyes after they see a shooting star. Person B, who can read minds, hears Person A wish in their head that Person B would kiss them. So Person B does, surprising Person A. Bonus if it's their first kiss.
Seto and Mary lied on the grass, staring up at the night sky. The dark blue canvas above them was littered with countless glittering silver lights, a truly breathtaking sight. The night air was pleasant on their skin, surprisingly cool for summer yet still comfortably warm. They couldn't have asked for a more perfect night.
"Wow... the stars are so beautiful," Mary breathed in amazement.
"Yeah, they are," Seto agreed.
Though, they're not nearly as beautiful as you, he thought to himself, yet felt embarrassed and was glad he didn't say this out loud. Seto had been looking for the right time to confess his feelings to Mary, and had even come out here hoping he could do just that, but in the end he just didn't have the courage to. It was one of those rare moments where he and Mary were completely alone with no threat of being interrupted by the gang, and Seto was just going to enjoy it while it lasted. If he couldn't announce his feelings to her, then he could at least spend this time with her hoping to gain even an ounce of bravery.
"Look, Seto! A shooting star!" Mary exclaimed, pointing excitedly upwards.
Seto turned his attention to the sky just in time to see a streak of light pass by. He glanced back over at Mary to see she had her eyes closed, probably making a wish. Seto was curious about what Mary was wishing for, when suddenly he heard a soft voice in his head.
I wish Seto would kiss me.
Seto's face heated up as he realized he had just unconsciously listened to Mary's thoughts. Though, after a moment of silently berating himself for that, what he heard finally sank in and he blushed for an entirely different reason. Mary wanted him to kiss her. There was no way that was true, and yet, he had just heard her think that very thing. Laying there beside him with her eyes closed, the opportunity was perfect, and before Seto could rethink his decision he leaned over and placed a light kiss on Mary's lips. Mary's eyes fluttered open in surprise just as Seto pulled away, giving her a slightly sheepish smile.
"Seto...?" Mary squeaked, her whole face bright red.
"I accidentally heard your thoughts, and, well..." Seto trailed off with a small, awkward laugh.
"Oh..." Mary said simply, clearly not knowing what else to say.
They stared at each other in awkward silence for a few seconds, then Seto took a deep breath and decided to use what little courage he had left for his next words.
"The truth is, I like you, a lot. I've liked you for a long time, actually, I just didn't know how to tell you before," Seto admitted.
Mary's eyes widened once again, and she merely stared at him in disbelief for a long moment. Then, she beamed happily and tackled him in a hug, surprising Seto to the point of making him fall back onto the grass.
"I like you, too, Seto!" Mary exclaimed while still grinning.
Seto smiled down at her and returned the embrace, glad that things worked out this way. They spent the rest of the night talking and laughing with each other like an excited new couple, their happy faces shining even brighter than the light of the stars.
