Edward is a Vampire, Bella human. They have a connection where they can hear each others thoughts and Bella can like put a shield around Edward even when he's not around. Looking for a Twilight story. Bella and Edward are the couples.

My summary of it will suck, this I know but this is what I remember of it...

Edward is a Vampire, Bella human. They have a connection where they can hear each others thoughts and Bella can like put a shield around Edward even when he's not around. I think cuz they are mates their powers grow or something. And really that's all I can remember from it. I'm not much help but if ya'll have any idea who the author is or the name of the story I'd appreciate it.
