Well I decided that I'd just post as I got each chapter.. So I'm posting this one!
It is the day after our worst case yet even worse that the one with the piece of driftwood... But I'm not getting into that right now. Masako has been all over Naru. I'll be honest I'm very jealous. On the bright side though Naru hasn't even spared her a glance... Or me for that matter. *sigh* I swear I am so close to giving up on the jerk. I mean I obviously like him, but he just ignores it. It's like having a crush on a wall. Speaking of did you know that there was this lady that got married to the Eiffel Tower in France? I find that kinda weird... But as long as she's happy, I suppose I'm happy for her. I guess. Anyhow I just got done sorting through the paperwork from the last case.
I make the tea that Naru would be yelling about any minute now. I open his door without knocking and set the cup and saucer down. "I finished with my work for the day so I'll be taking my leave. Also when your done meet me at the café please? It's important." He glared at me. "See you later Mai." I walked back home with a huge smile on my face.
I throw my door open and run to my closet. I pull out the outfit I've been saving for this occasion and throw it on the bed. I grab a towel and sprint to the shower. I jump in, not even waiting for it to warm up. I used my special Paris Amour Body Wash that I got from Bath & Body Works. It smells like a romantic stroll through paris. Then my Color me happy Herbal Essence rose scented shampoo and conditioner. When I was clean I jumped out and landed pretty hard on the floor. Luckily nothing bruised. Then I set about my makeup.
A little foundation, a mascara, thick eyeliner, I smudged the bottom lash line, and some blood red lipstick. Next I threw on my short halter style exposed back dress the top part hugs my developing breasts in a very flattering way. While at the hips it flows out to just above my knees so my legs look like they are longer, I spritzed myself with my Paris Amour Diamond Shimmer spray to make everything sparkle, I pulled pieces of my hair back, then curled my bangs a little, I checked myself in the mirror twice, I look stunning. I bet he won't even recognize me. I threw on my Black 4 inch heels, and made my way back to the café.
I was there for maybe half an hour. I was sitting right at the door so he would see me. He walked through the door and scanned the room he looked puzzled. He walked over to me. "Excuse me Ma'am. But have you seen a teenage girl with cinnomon brown hair and eyes, hair should be looking nappy still-" "What the Hell Naru! I knew you wouldn't recognize me but geez did you have to insult me like you did?" His jaw dropped. "M-Mai?!" "What!?" "Wow. You look... Stunning." "Well of course I do. Don't tell me you never noticed before."
With that over with we got a private booth seat and ordered our food. "So why are we here? And why are you dressed up?" "Naru I've waited here for you for so long, but I realized something. I'm waiting on you to make the first move, but you won't. So I am. Naru I really like you, I would like to grow old with you, I want to experience all of my firsts with you. I wonder if I spend my life with you, if I'll get tired of this wonderful euphoric feeling I get when I'm around you. I can't imagaine myself with anyone but you. The only thing I ask is that you give me a chance."
"Your right Mai, I was never going to make the first move. I will give you a chance." He pulled a pen out of his jacket wrote something on a napkin, pushed it to me and stood up. "Meet me at this address on Friday. I hope you don't disappoint me." Then he just walked away. My eyes widened when I read the address.
