Summary: [Based on a Tumblr Prompt] Maddy really shouldn't have let Rhydian choose their outfits to the fancy dress disco. Maddy/Rhydian ONESHOT.

AN: Quick oneshot about fancy dress. I can't think of any other explanation :). This just sounded like something Rhydian would encourage, so, eh, here we are. Enjoy.

DISCLAIMER. I do not own Wolfblood. Or Disneyland. I always wanted to go to Disneyland.

Prompt: Imagine Person A playing Mickey Mouse and Person B as Minnie Mouse.

"You cannot be serious."

Maddy's gaze flickers up from the mouse ears in her date's hand. Rhydian grins.

"Deadly serious, Mads. You haven't seen a more serious face than my serious face right now, I can guarantee."

She toys with the hem of her red and white spotty dress, scuffing the red bows at the tip of her shoes. "I can't believe I let you choose our outfits for this thing. I never should have trusted you with it. Should've known you'd do something wacky like this."

Rhydian simply laughs, unabashed, straightening his canary yellow bow tie and black jacket as he speaks. "If it had been down to you, we probably would have gone as vampires or pumpkins or something boring." He rolls his eyes at the mere thought of this. "Nobody else will have thought of something like this. We'll be unique."

"We'll be laughed at, that's what we'll be," Maddy says, eyebrow raised. "Especially if you're going to be wearing...that." She nods in distaste to the sofa behind Rhydian, where a life-size Mickey Mouse head sits nestled on the cushions, looking at her with that too-keen, slightly sinister grin. "Where did you even get one of those things? Did you break into Disneyland or something?"

"As good a story as that sounds, no. Actually, I bought it from Bernie the other day. He offered it to me for a tenner."

"How did Bernie get - Actually, don't answer that, I don't want to know where he got it from."

"It's good value," Rhydian insists, lifting the disembodied head from the sofa and putting it on. "See?" His voice sounds like a distant echo from inside the costume.

"Can you see in there?" Maddy flicks the end of Mickey's nose. "Can you even breathe in there?"

"Sure!" Rhydian replies. Maddy doesn't need to see him to know that he's rolling his eyes. "Come on, Mads. Stick your ears on, or we're gonna be late and Shannon will hate us forever."

Maddy lets out a sigh. Regardless of whether she wears the ears or not, Rhydian is going to wear the Mickey Mouse head. She may as well go along with it as well. No pair of mouse ears can compete with Rhydian's headgear.

"Fine." She takes the ears out of his hands and slides them onto her head. "There. Are you happy now?"

"Very happy." Rhydian offers her his arm, which she takes with a roll of her eyes. "Well. We'd best be on our way, Mrs Mouse."
