But, before I write this, I think imma go and buy A Prince's Tail (Lauren Fairweather's newest album) from itunes. Hmm I can't believe I missed her tour!
"Grandpa, What is your favorite memory?" my teenage granddaughter asks me.
"To tell you the truth, Lizzie, I don't really have one particular memory that sticks out as amazing. I've lived a pretty good life. I've had many amazing experiences, and met many amazing people."
"So, there's no one specific thing that made you happier than any other time in your life?" my ten year old grandson asks.
"Honestly, not really. Sorry to disappoint, Xavier, but I can't pick one time. Did I ever tell you about the Christmas parties I used to hold at Hogwarts, when I was a teacher there?"
All five of my grandchildren rolled their eyes, and Melissa laughs, as she says "Yes, Grandpa. Sooo many times."
I have to laugh, because it's true. "Well, they were some pretty good memories. I always did love Christmas. What about how I met Grandma? Or the day of our marriage?"
"We've heard them both," Lizzie reminded me.
"See, you know about all of my happy memories." I stop to think. "Hmm…how about the day I retired? The first time. When I was so happy to be done teaching, because I was getting old, and teaching is a lot of work."
"Of course we've heard that one," my youngest grandson, Liam replied.
"Then, all of you have heard the important highlights of my life. Do you really think I can pick one memory out of all of them?"
"I guess you have a point," sighs my oldest granddaughter, Layla.
"Can any of you pinpoint the one time you have been the happiest in your entire life?" I challenge my grandkids, and am met with silence.

I don't even know if Slughorn ever got married, never mind ended up with grandchildren, so this could possibly be extremely AU. Lol And Slughorn is kind of OC. Sorry.
