So basically I took a translation of the song Crescent Moon by Kaito and made it into a fanfiction xD so far this is what I've got. Does this sound like a good idea or should I leave it here and make it a one shot?
I do not own Vocaloid or the lyrics. I simply own my story.
Dimly illuminating the wooden platform of the stage,
I played notes on the parquetry.
The beautiful crescent moon disappears into the clouds,
and I don't have an umbrella.
The loud bustling of the night traffic and the loud voices of the city's citizens as they hurried towards their homes pulled Kaito out of his musical trance as he sat there on the wooden floor, a violin in hand. "I can't ever play a decent song without this damned noise." he shook his head and stood, straightening his uniform in the process. His break was over and it was time for him to return to his work.
"Konbanwa Kaito!" a blonde soldier ran up to him.
"Oh, konbanwa Len." Kaito glanced over at the young kid that was now beside him. "Is it time already?" he joked as he placed his violin in its case and strapped it onto his back.
"Ahhh come on! Kiyoteru is gonna get our assess if we're late again!" Len shook his arms above his head in an attempt to prove a point but failing in the process.
"We have ten minutes Len. It's not like it'll be the end of the world." his blue eyes met golden ones. "You look like a child playing soldier." he laughed as he looked over the blue soldier uniform adorned in gold chains and the blue hat to match.
"KAITO!" Len roared as several civilians looked at them with odd expressions.
Kaito began walking towards the meeting point where Kiyoteru was probably already waiting for them. "If you keep that up we'll never get there." he said over his shoulder.
"You're always teasing me Kaito!" Len pouted after Kaito had led them into the crowded street.
Once the crescent moon had fully risen into the sky, an eerie darkness consumed the almost empty streets. The usual nightcrawlers were now deep within the confines of their homes, the cold weather a menace to their health. Only those that had no home dared face the cold wind, upcoming clouds clouded the beams of light the moon emanated meaning that there would soon be rain.
"It's going to rain." Len commented as the had finally reached their meeting spot. "Kiyoteru should have been here already." his golden eyes scanned the area before them.
The roads were empty and the houses around them were silent. Only the lights and the shadows inside were proof that life existed in the city, even after dark.
"We have trouble." a deep troubled voice spoke behind them.
Kaito didn't have to turn and face the man to know who he was. "What's happened now, Kiyoteru?"
The brown haired man with matching eyes towered over the two men. "There is a group of rebels, three to be exact, hunting our men. They attacked a group of trainees near the office of the commander. It seems they were trying to get information about something but our men caught them but they are far to skilled for the new trainees. They were all injured badly, they weren't aiming to kill so I'm guessing they don't want any trouble."
Kaito took off his hat and ran his fingers through his long blue hair before placing it back. "And you want us to watch out for them on patrol?"
Kiyoteru nodded "Yes. You both cover the most ground and" he turned to Kaito "your eyes are sharper than a hawks, along with your skills I doubt you would miss them."
Kaito sighed "And I thought today was going to be a boring day." he looked up at the sky where the dark clouds were now looming over them. "And I don't have an umbrella..." he thought.
"Get moving men. I've been asked to replace the trainees for now so you two have to get on without me." the brown haired man gave them a short bow and begun walking away. "Remember men, don't let them get away." and with that he disappeared into an alley way.
Len gripped his sword. "You think they're a real threat?"
Kaito began walking, his eyes never leaving the dark shadows that surrounded them. "If they dared get near the commanders quarters, I dare say they are somewhat of a threat. Don't you think. Now be quiet." he ordered and nothing else was heard from the blonde youth.
It had been hours since they began their patrol and nothing out of the ordinary had happened. There were a few hours left before the sun would shine and they would be off into the sweet grasp of unconciousness.
"We've been at it for hours and no one to be seen. You think that they already escaped?" Len who had been quiet during the patrol had finally spoken up. "I say we stop looking for them and stay in one place. We did our rounds and more, Kaito." the blonde haired youth yawned. This night had taken a toll on the boy.
"If you're really that tired then you can leave, Len." Kaito hadn't even begun to think how exhausted he truly was. Being a soldier of his rank took plenty out of him and not to mention the pressure his family put him in to find a wife had given him nightmares.
Len sighed but kept his mouth shut. His golden eyes scanned the area when the sound of silent footsteps reached his ears.
Kaito noticed Len freeze in place, his head cocked to the side as though he heard something from afar. "What is it Len?" Kaito whispered.
"Footsteps." he replied and brought up his hand to warn Kaito to be quiet. The sound of footsteps had stopped but low urgent whispers could be heard from an alley covered in a thick cloak of darkness.
Three figures dressed in uniforms matching theirs stood in the light of the crescent moon, taking no notice of the two soldiers who had begun watching their encounter. It seemed as though they were arguing over where to head off next.
"But we can't go back Gakupo!" a small blonde with honey coloured eyes and hair up to her shoulders hissed.
Kaito watched the man named Gakupo glare at the small blonde. His towering height didn't seem to threaten her in any way.
"And what do you suggest we do, Rin? Hide in here the rest of our lives? We have to get out of here before the sun rises and there are more soldiers walking the streets. If we get caught then you can kiss freedom goodbye."
The blonde girl returned the glare. The two seemed to be at odds with each other. Kaito noticed the third memeber of the group had kept quiet. Waist long light blue hair and slight feminine curves made Kaito want to have a closer look.
"If you two don't keep quiet then we all won't live to see the light of day." a sweet but cold voice had come from the female figure. "I have a place in mind."
Kaito watched as the woman cloaked in darkness stepped forward into the light. Her hair was pulled up into a long ponytail, her pale face covered with a black mask. Kaito frowned as there was a familiarity in the womans voice that he couldn't place.
"Let's go!" the woman commanded. She smiled as her eyes flickered from Kaito to the duo in front of her before turning away and walking into a different alley.
Kaito had covered Len's mouth with his hand when he attempted to stop them from leaving. He waited until they were all but gone. No traaces of the meeting that had just happened remained.
"What the heck was that!?" Len yelled. His eyes wide with anger and his body tense with rage.
"I don't know... Len, I think we shouldn't tell Kiyoteru about this... Leave them be for now. No one was hurt and they weren't hurting anyone out here so please," he gave him a deep bow before coming to meet his eyes again. "let us keep this between the two of us."
Len felt a warm rush of blood flood his cheeks and he shrugged. "Fine, but you owe me one favor!"
Kaito nodded "Of course." he looked up at the dense amount of dark clouds that had claimed the sky. A small droplet of water his his cheeks. "Let's go home before the storm catches us."
"Right!" Len smiled.
Kaito followed the yellow haired boy but his thoughts remained on the blue haired woman.
Once they had each made it into their rooms inside the grand palace, Kaito readied himself into his bed. It was an honor to be accepted into the guard and an opportunity of a lifetime to be accepted into the palace. His thoughts kept binging up the woman until sleep finally claimed all his senses. His dreams were plagued with the color blue.
Okay there it is. I wanted to go into more detail in this chapter but I was afraid I'd be too long and bore some people xD Please answer the questions above regarding whether I should keep on working on this or not. Thank you for reading and please leave a review a follow and such. Until next time!
