Going to be a bit quiet for this one. My second story with this account but not my first story with fanfiction. Just know this world is in an AU setting with inspiration from the original game. Losty Odyssey is so underrated. Blegh.

Note: Seth is still a pirate, Tolten is still a king, Ming is a Queen, etc. But this is an AU world with some different roles as well.

Act 001

''A dream is a wish unspoken''

The navy haired female pirate looked down at the peculiar view beneath her. A strange bird, if it could be called that, hobbled along the dirt path that her spot on a shady tree overlooked. It had spiky feathers and was the color of the sea. But what really made Seth confused were the twin hooked horns emerging from its beak. A string of colorful beads hung from the horns, which confused Seth even more.

The bird was cute in every way except for the horns, which made it look like one of those monsters she had encountered on her journeys.

Except this bird was no bigger than her hand.

Seth reached her arm over to one of the branches of the tree without looking away from the strange specimen. She'd gotten used to many peculiar and strange things in her life, but this was still an odd sight for her. Of course she had just arrived at the infamous city of Urha and didn't know that much about it. She was there for the score and that was it. Sed had already retreated to the ship however, after they'd stolen the cities prized crystal right under the Emperal guards nose no less, and now Seth was taking advantage of the first time her feet had touched the ground in weeks.

She had been relaxing in the Grande Orchard of Uhra, which was surprisingly empty in the day, when the bird had just appeared out of nowhere on the ground.

'Hmm...should I catch it? Sed did say he was hungry for something other than fruit.' Seth thought as she gingerly plucked yet another apple from the branches.

And as she mulled over the pros and cons while feasting on the fruit, the bird tripped over a pebble and lurched forward to the ground.

Poof

Seths eyes widened to a startling degree when the bird vanished, a trail of lingering gray smoke being the only evidence it had been there.

The apple forgotten, Seth pushed herself from the tree and landed gracefully to the ground. Her mouth was perked in a curious frown as she walked over to where the smoke was now starting to dissipate.

Her blue eyes widened slightly when she saw that in place of the bird, there was a pearl. A pearl with two horns crossing eachother imprinted on it.

'Well.' Seth thought as she carefully plucked the tiny pearl from the ground. 'I guess this will buy Sed some decent meat.'

But even before Seth pocketed the pearl and kicked the tree she had been residing on, an apple falling squarely in her hands, Seth already knew she was keeping the jewel. She was a pirate who loved treasure, but this particular time she was in no mood to sell the pearl like she did with all her scores.

'I guess it's time for me to go back to the ship...before those guards realize the crystals gone.'

And with a whistle, Seth walked down the orchard and toward the docks where her crew was waiting.

Of course she was in for an unpleasant surprise.

I love Seth. The game did her an injustice. Sigh.
