Chapter One

The first time I stepped through the barrier between platforms 9 and 10, I was amazed. I know that this will be one of the last times, and yet, after so many views, I still fell in love with the bright red train.

My friends jumped me, my owl, Jesk, screeching at them. But hey, what's with the jumping? I mean, we had seen each other four weeks ago, how much jumping do you need?

According to them, a lot.

"Lily!" one of my best friends, Jaide, yelled into my ear. I winced.

"Darling!" Acacia never called me by my real name. I don't know why, she just did.

Acacia, aka Ace, was a flirt, but, when needed, could keep a secret. She had long and straight blond hair, with honey-colored eyes. She didn't really like Quidditch, but was the commentator for the games.

Jaide was considered pretty. She had black hair and lovely blue eyes. She was a Chaser for the Gryffindor Quidditch team and could belly dance wonderfully. Boys went ga-ga over her, but she never accepted. In fact, the last one to ask her out had ended up in the hospital wing, with a broken nose and an enlarged head.

"Evans!" I heard the deep voice turned high behind me, as Potter mimicked my friends.

"Sod off, Potter," I said turning around.

"Only if you go out with me." He grinned, hazel eyes twinkling behind thin glasses.

"No," I said calmly, crossing my arms.

"Oh, come on. You know you want to." He crossed his arms and leaned down towards me, his 6'3" overpowering my short 5'5".

I stopped, and pretended to be considering his offer.

"Ummm…sorry, nope. Never." I smirked at him, and walked away, pulling my trunk and friends along with me. I didn't notice the hurt on his face, nor the look of disappointment in his eyes.

And…what do you think?????? Short I know.

I've started this story over. I didn't like the original one.
