Chapter 1: Annabeth

This is my first fanfic. Rated T for violence. I don't mind criticism. This happens after the second giant war.

Percy POV

We were fighting Gaia. Jason was fighting with Zeus, I was fighting with my dad, and Leo was fighting with Hephaestus. It was all going well. We were on the verge of killing all the giants when someone called out, "Percy!"

It was Annabeth. I saw that Gaia had gotten to her and stabbed her in the heart. I ran up to Gaia and stabbed her in the heart while Leo was fighting her in the air.

"For Annabeth!" I cried out as I was drawing Gaia up into the air where she could be Leo's target. Then Leo shot a blast of fire at her and she was gone. The worst thing in our dreams was gone, but not without sacrifice. I started crying.

"Percy, I'm sorry," Poseidon said to me. But I couldn't hear that. I was too busy crying for my loved one. The gods then called the seven heroes (now six) plus Nico and Reyna to go to the throne room.

"Heroes from Camp Jupiter, you will be rewarded over there," Zeus said, flashing them to Camp Jupiter.

"Heroes, we have decided to bestow a reward upon you. Either you could choose godhood, or you could get a reward of your choosing that is within our power," Zeus boomed.

"Leo Valdez, what will you choose?" Hephaestus asked his son.

"Father, I choose a reward. Can you free Calypso for me, so we can live together?" Leo asked

"Of course, my son. I will also grant you and Calypso partial immortality, so you can only die in battle," Hephaestus said.

"Thank you father," Leo said, surprised by the partial immortality gift.

"Piper McLean, what do you choose?" Aphrodite asked.

"I choose immortality, mother," Piper said.

"And finally, Perseus Jackson! What will you pick?" Poseidon asked.

"I pick immortality, as long as Hestia and Hades get to be Olympians again," Percy responded, humbly.

"Zeus, do you agree by his terms?" Poseidon asked his brother, hoping he would accept.

"Of course, Poseidon. Hestia, you're now an Olympian again!" Zeus directed to his sister. "Hermes, please go get Hades so he could be on the council again." It seemed that Zeus had wanted both of them on the council again, but only if someone asked.

"Percy, thank you for letting me be on the council," Hades said happily.

"Yes, I send my thanks," Hestia said towards me.

"Okay, Percy and Leo. We're going to turn you into gods now," Zeus said, directing two orbs of energy at us. Then he let them go. We blacked out.

Two days later, I woke up. I was in the infirmary, with Leo in the next bed over and Apollo looking at an Olympian gossip magazine.

"Finally, you're up. It's been two days," Apollo said, looking up from his magazine. "We have to call an Olympian Council meeting. I see your buddy Leo is awake now." Then we walked into the throne room and Apollo shot an arrow into the air, signaling an emergency Olympian Council meeting.

"Our two new gods are awake. At Camp Jupiter, Jason Grace chose immorality and is living with Piper McLean now. He is the minor god of thunder and lightning. Hazel Levesque decided to go back to the dead but is in Elysium now. Frank Zhang decided to take his curse away," Zeus said to us when he settled down on his throne. At this, Ares and Hades were smiling. Then the Fates flashed in.

"All hail Leo Valdez, minor god of fire and annoyance," The Fates said to Leo. Leo snickered a little bit at this.

"All hail Perseus Jackson, god of time, fate, and tides. You are not bound by the ancient laws and you are now our master," The Fates said to me. All the gods, including me, were shocked at this. I was very powerful.

"Thank you, Fates. Zeus, do I have your permission to leave Olympus for a while, so I could mourn for Annabeth," I asked towards Zeus.

"Are you sure, Percy?" Zeus asked with uncertainty.

"Yes, I'm sure," I responded confidently.

"Okay, Percy. You may leave at any time. I bless you to immediately know how to use your domains," Zeus said, booming his voice across the throne room.

"Bye!" I said to my dad, Leo, and the rest of the gods. They wouldn't be meeting me anytime soon, that's for sure.
