"Haha, things could not be better!" A young woman screamed to the moon, effortlessly pumping her legs to the ground as she roller skated down a dark alley way. A paper bag, full of money was clutched in her hand, and, unknown to her, also had a large tear in it, causing a trail of yen to mark her way.
How convenient.
And, at that moment, it just so happened that a color gang watched her skate past.
And, it just so happened that a bump in the road caused the girl to fall to the floor. Causing her to look back and see the bank notes, and the gang closing in on her. She gripped the bag tightly. Oh god, what trouble had she pushed herself into? She thought that stealing money from the store wouldn't be hard- she had done it before! But, alas, it seemed her luck had caught up on her.
"Hey! Give us that bag!" The bum she thought to be the leader ordered. She smirked. The girl never thought she'd have to deal with this kind of thing, but better that she have practice.
The pocket knife she had in her pocket, a simple Swiss Army knife wouldn't do. The blade was nothing more than a tool. She'd have to use her hands.
Standing up, the young woman brushed off her pants.
"Hello, what can I do for you today?" She asked, a grin on her face. Oh, joy. She had to keep herself from laughing with that line.
The leader of the gang seemed pissed at her remark.
"I already told 'ja, give us your money!" He demanded, obviously annoyed.
The grin grew as she took the bag and, with much patience, and stuffed it in her drawstring bag, still standing in her roller skates. With that action, they all hissed in anger and ran towards her.
Secretly, she was scared shitless. But the thrill of it all made her even more excited. And she wasn't the sort who wore their emotions on their sleeve.
The first one to hit was the leader himself. Using the skates to her advantage, she grabbed the pole he was about to hit her with, and twirled herself around, with a bonus of unbalancing the bum. She then, in the moment of the gang's confusion, took an opening in the circle surrounding her and flew out of the fight.
It might have been a perfect escape, had she not been stabbed with some sort of knife.
Right in her back.
The girl fell to the ground almost instantly after being stabbed, chin hitting the concrete and knocking her unconscious in the second her head made contact with the ground.
"Celty! Look, she's waking up!" Squealed a brown-haired man, as our heroine fluttered open her light brown eyes with a almost silent moan of pain. Her whole body ached, and each time she moved it sent a bolt of pain right to the source. It felt as though the gang had beaten her up after the stabbing, and didn't just take the money.
The white labcoat dude kept talking.
"Celty found you last night when she was coming back- you're lucky she just happened to ride past you."
She looked up to see a... Well a female figure with a motorcycle helmet on? It seemed a bit odd to wear that sort of thing inside...
Whatever... She thought .it isn't my business...
"So." The man continued. "What's you're name? I'm Shinra Kishitani." He seemed very curious to the girl, and with great hesitant, she murmured her name.
"Kohana Kamino..."
