Once upon a time in a land far, far away, a young Freelancer by the name of York decided to take a walk through Cartoon X-Overs.

York had always enjoyed leisurely strolls; it helped clear the mind, and cleanse the soul.

However, when York appeared at the edge of Cartoon X-Overs there was a trembling that began all over the yellow armor that covered his body.

York was highly confused. Page after page was nothing more than poorly written fanmakes, varying from Disney movies to action ones.

Not that York ever had a problem with Disney movies or any type of movie to begin with.

But this…this was something that bended the mind, something that was incomprehensible.

This was, after all, the section for Cartoon X-Overs. So why on Earth were there authors in such fan makes? Was this the wrong place? Weren't there supposed to stories that actually involved crossovers?

What was going on here?

"Delta?" York addressed the AI, who appeared at once, glowing green.

"Yes? I'm here to assist."

"Care to explain what is going on here?"

"Well, York, one can clearly see that there is a distinct lack of logic in this place- it appears that there are only a few good authors in this section, and that their stories are buried under heaps of fan-makes involving Mary Sue self inserts."

"But D," York asked, "What are Mary Sues?"

"The Mary Sue is an original character often found in both fanfiction and published novels. Such characters are often flimsy covers for the author of such stories themselves, usually to fulfill some fantasy, either due to low self esteem or sexual gratification. The best example one can give would be Bella Swan, of Twilight fame."

"Ah," York said quietly, gazing around once again, "Aren't such self-inserts against the Guidelines here on fanfiction?"

"Why, yes, they are, York. However, if one dares point that out to a Sue-author, one can guarantee illogical arguments and over use of exclamation points."

York shivered, running for safety, only to find that there was nowhere to go, surrounded by a wall of bad fanfiction.

"D, what do I do?"

But Delta did not respond, for once the AI saw such a fic, he promptly pulled an Epsilon and terminated himself inside York's helmet.

At which point York huddled into a ball and cried for the future of literature.
