Naruto kidnapped at young age by one of Orochimaru's spies only to be saved by Sasori who decided to take him as an apprentice and teach him the art of puppetry, poison and sealing. However, because of Naruto's large chakra reserves he was not able to create Chakra Threads that needs perfect chakra control.
Not giving up, even after Sasori left him alone, Naruto was able to create a new technique to control his puppets after seeing some ninja using clones in a fight.
The technique works in a similar way as the Shadow Clone Technique; it divides Naruto's chakra between himself and his puppets. Every puppet has a unique seal that Naruto created, when he use his technique he transfer his chakra to the seal and his puppets become "alive" like how Shadow Clone Technique create "living" clones.
An idea of Naruto who use puppets in a unique way, and instead of using clones like in canon he uses puppets in a similar way.
He is trained by Sasori, so he know how to create and use poisons, seals, normal puppets and human puppets.
Rules:
1- No bashing.
2- No good Kyuubi from the start.
3- No civilian council who has more power than the Hokage, like in some stories.
4- Naruto must not chase after Sakura or Sasuke, he is raised outside of Konoha, so he has no bond with them. The sasme as with the Hokage, Naruto can't just call him "grandfather" like he know him his entire life.
5- With him being raised by Sasori Naruto's personality must be different than the Canon's, he must be neither too good(canon) nor evil.
Optional:
1- You can decide if Naruto returns to Konoha, join Suna, Kiri or even work alone as freelancer.
2- Naruto create his own spy network similar to Sasori.
3- You can make Naruto meet Team 7 in wave country and take the corpses of Zabuza and Haku to turn them into a puppets.
4- The author can change some characters gender or personality (Fem!Sasuke, RTN!Hinata)
