Is this what love feels like? That is the question that plays with the mind as the children laugh and play. Sesshomaru watches his daughter, rin, so beautifully play. He remembered those days, when he was her age. She was so much like her mother.

"You- you- you JERK!" A little girl screamed, trying to get her ball back form someone twice her size. She was small for her age of 5, with big, bright blue eyes and long pitch black straight hair. The boy, who had short, spiky silver hair and gold eyes, held the ball farther from her, smirking when she started pouting. He was 7, but still couldn't help being fascinated by the younger girl. "Tell me your name and I'll give you your ball back, promise" He said. "Ugh. My name is kagome. Kagome higurashi." She said, glaring at him. "Hm. Here is your ball. My name is sesshomaru, sesshomaru takahashi." He left after that, not wanting to deal with her anymore. But he didn't leave the next day when he saw her playing alone. No instead, he joined her.

That was the day of a great friendship, but their junior year, the night of the prom, was the beginning of a great relationship.

"Kagome you look… amazing." Sesshomaru breathed, looking at his best friend and secret love. She had a long flowing blue dress that matched her eyes, cherry red lipstick, and light eyeliner. She wore stilettos, and had her hair down, and had curled it. "Thank you shesshy, you look great to" He couldn't help but blush. He spiked his hair like he usually did, had a black tux, and a blue tie on. "Thank you kaggs" He took her hand and brought her to the rented limo, where sango, miroku, inuyasha, and kikyo waited. All the girls looked beautiful, but he only had eyes for kagome. "Kaggs you look amazing!" Inuyasha exclaimed only to stop staring when kikyo hit his arm and scolded him. "Silly inu, you will never learn. Haha" Kagome giggled, before opening some wine to drink on the way.
(Later that night)
They were dancing to a slow song when he asked her "Kagome… will you be my girlfriend? We are going to go to the same college, we can share an apartment. I love you" he asked, looking into her eyes. She smiled while happily crying and shouted "YES!" so loud that people were looking at them. That day, the day the had wed, and the day rin was born were the happiest days of his life. Oh, and meeting her.

He was about to get up and tell rin it was time to go when he saw her blushing and standing with a little fox youkia boy. He had flowers and blushing like mad, so sesshomaru assumed the flowers were for rin. Cute. He was in that position once and maybe… now it was rin and the little boy's turn to be in that position.
And it happened, was what he thought when he assorted her down the aisle to marry shippo, it happened.
