Dusk had settled over Ashenvale, turning every foliage available into a black, yet the purple sky illuminated parts of the forest. Arílyn sighed heavily, riding atop her well built frostsaber, her green hair hanging over her face. The white mask safely hid her lips; and her tears, somewhat. The Argent Crusade tabard she wore was rather tattered near the bottom. Her red argent seemed dull, like her own silver eyes. Sighing heavily, she brushed her bangs away from her face, tilting her head up to look up at the sky.
"Best be getting to the inn.." She murmured, tightening her grip on the reins of her saber. Arílyn was furious with everyone; herself included. The one chance to earn someone's respect, and she destroyed it. Lowering her head, she let a tear roll out of her eye, slipping under the mask. She closed her eyes tightly, before weakly kicking her saber in the side, aiming to get to Astranaar soon.
The rest of the ride had been a breeze, except for when she swore violently at herself or something else.
She breathed a sigh of relief as she rode into Astranaar, before dismounting the saber. "I'll whistle when I need you, Korama." The saber nodded, before dashing off into the woods. The small town was silent, only her footsteps were heard as she entered the inn. "One night, please." The innkeeper nodded, slowly. "Five gold, please." Arílyn reluctantly handed over five gold pieces, before ascending upstairs.
The room was rather small, yet it had a bed. Hell, that was all she wanted.
She shut the door behind her as she lazily clambered onto the bed. The female elf stared up at the ceiling, removing the mask carefully and laying it on the floor. She flipped over onto her side, before closing her eyes tightly, slipping into a deep, inviting sleep after a while.
She could see him, Diff, in front of her, as clear as the day, Whimpering, she reached out a hand to stroke his face, yet as she did, he would move further away. "Come back!" She cried out, tears rolling down her face. He mouthed some words, probably some along the lines of 'I love you' or something. And then, he disappeared, leaving her there to slump, crying to herself.
Groaning, she levered herself up on her elbows. Sweat dappled her forehead, and fresh tears rolled down her face. Sighing, she rolled out of the bed, grabbing her mask from the floor. She tied it around her face, before standing up and wiping away some of the tears. Why does he have to haunt me every night.. She thought to herself, before exiting the room.
Slowly, she descended the floor, sighing gladly as she was finally outside. Placing two fingers into her mouth, she whistled for Korama. Within a few moments, the large frostsaber appeared. She swiftly climbed up onto its saddle, before gripping the reins tightly. Her only intention was to get back to Stormwind.
She sighed heavily when she left Astranaar, thinking about everything she had done the day before. Basically a major screw up of a day.
The day had been FINE until Organtak arrived. Then it all turned upside down.
So, pretty much, he had shot Eyoru because he was a fag (in Arílyn's eyes, anyway.), Arílyn went to kill him with one of Eyoru's friends, and guess what; HER OWN DAUGHTER DEFENDED HIM. And apparently they were now in love.
Whoop de fricking DO.
With a snarl, she continued riding back up to Auberdine, aiming to get the boat to Stormwind once she got there. Hopefully she would get there in time.
