Nightmares
The nightmares came creeping again
Last night while I was laying in my bed
I saw my father dying and then
The screaming starting deep inside my head
I tried to block it out but couldn't make
It go away, and I wonder why
Everyday before I wake
I see my father die
The nightmares haunt me at night
And just when I think I can't get by
The terrible visions disappear from sight
When daylight fills the sky
Today the nightmares will be gone
But as evening falls, that is when
I realize peace never lasts long
As the nightmares come creeping again
Not my best work, I know. *shrug* I tried. Oh well. ^.^ Review anyway.
