A Different Path

What if Kagome didn't go home after Kouga was hurt, after the battle with the paradise birds? What if she went with him, and didn't stay with Inuyasha. How different would her life be, if she helped Kouga complete the Sacred Shikon Jewel?
A/N: This is just the introduction chapter, so its going to be a bit short. And I'm not sure of the wolf's names, but are they Ginta and Hakkaku?
A Different Path
"Get him out of here!" Kagome yelled to the wolf demons.
"Are you comming with us sister?" Kouga's compaion, Ginta asked.
She looked to Sango and Mikoku. Who waved a sign of approvial. Kagome then looked to Inuyasha. "Yes. Lets go quickly." Kagome turned to leave, "Shippo do you want to come too?"
Shippo looked up with big cute puppy dog eyes, "Yes!" Shippo ran to the black haired girl, who he considedrd his mother, and stuck his toung out at Inuyasha.
"Why you..." Inuyasha was cut off by Kagome.
"Sit boy!" CRASH "Bye Miroku, See ya Sango!"
"Bye Kagome!" Sango yelled, Miroku's hand was upon her, SLAP "Lecher!"
"Sister we must leave now, Kouga's getting worse."
"Right. Lets go." Kagome took one more look back at her friends before she jumped on the back of one of the wolves.
"Are you sad that shes going?" Miroku asked. Sango nodded, "Well I could cheer you up..." SLAP
"Pervert."
"Sister Kagome you must hold on tight, Kouga would kill us if you fell off."
"How is Kouga doing?"
"He has lost a lot of blood, but hes not unconsious." Kagome looked around and saw a field of herds.
"Do you think we could stop for a minute, there are some herds over there that can help him."
Ginta stopped and let Kagome off, as the rest of the pack took Kouga back. "Which herbs?" He asked. Kagome bent down and picked a plant with two leaves and a long stem.
"These, get as many as you can." Shippo allready had a hand full of the strange plant. Ginta nooded
"Yes sister Kagome."
After gathering enough of the healing herb, Ginta, Kagome, and Shippo headed for the wolf's den. "Were back!" Ginta said as he walked in.
"Where were you sister Kagome? Kouga was worried." Hakkaku pulled the young girl to the back of the cave to where Kouga was.
"Kouga, Ginta and I brought some herbs to help you." She said as she knelt down next to the wolf demon. Usind two rocks she ground the leaves and fed them to Kouga.
"Thank you...Kagome" Kouga said before Kagome forced him to fall asleep. "Good night."
Kagome turned to leave, "Good night Kouga." She turned back to Kouga and sighed, then layed down next to him.
