He smiled as he saw her lying on the floor, her hair askew and a copy of Transfiguration Today clutched in her hand. Her chest rising and falling slowly bringing her red bath robe with it, her mouth slightly agape and a light snore escaping her throat.

How he hated to wake her, he almost didn't and then remembered how terrible his wife could be if she woke up in a rather uncomfortable position, especially since she had been awaiting his return from the Ministry of Magic. He pushed his glasses higher on his crooked nose and tiptoed towards her sleeping form, shaking her shoulder slightly he whispered

"Minerva, Min, wake up dear."

She simply rolled to her side, Albus sighed, he knew what this meant. He pushed her lightly to be lying on her back again and slid his arms under her neck and knees, he scooped her up gently and carried her sleeping form to their large bed.

With a swish of his wand he transfigured her crimson bath robe into her favorite nightwear, a white muggle button down Albus had worn to Alberforth's Halloween costume party, she had said it was comfortable and smelt of him. At the time he had wanted to point out so did his robes but her had decided not to anger is beautiful wife in anyway, she is Scottish you know. A faint smile graced her lips and seemed to create a peace that had been missing in the atmosphere.

"Albus..." She whispered faintly

"Hmmm?"

"I love you."

"And I you Min, forever."

She smiled again as he climbed into bed and slid under the golden colors, Minerva rolled into him and breathed in a sigh of happiness before promptly falling back asleep. He kissed her head lightly and tightened his arms around her lithe waist. He silently thanked Merlin for the joy in his life, and the beat in his heart.
