Side note: Again, Toshiro couldn't do the declaimer. He's just getting harder and harder to get a hold of…

Mornings; The worst part of the day for some, the best for others. For one blonde, it just so happened to be the worst. He never could find a reason to get up anyways, so he always just laid there in bed when he awoke, contemplating whether to get up, or sleep the day away. He would always toss and turn, staring out the window one minute, then looking up at the green wooden pillars that kept the ceiling from toppling all over him, searching for reasons…Until he stared at the frame beneath the lamp on his bedside table.

She always loved mornings. They were the start of a new day, a new adventure. She always awoke with a smile, and always 7:00 AM sharp, no matter the day…or at least that's how it has been since he arrived. It never occurred to her why either. She had always been a morning person before anyways.

He never understood why. He could just stare into those emerald eyes and suddenly, a reason to do anything and everything became clear to him.

A reason to get up.

A reason to eat.

A reason to live.

A reason to hate.

A reason to love.

She looked at herself in the mirror. She wasn't some bombshell beauty, with flawless skin like uncut ice, or a skinny body complete with clear blue eyes and platinum blonde locks. In fact she was quite the opposite. Her eyes were a bright, almost but not quite lime green, and her wavy brunette hair was always pulled back into identical braids. She was thin, and athletic, but she never went around showing off her chest or her butt. That just wasn't her style.

He finally got up, dressed in his regular attire, ate, and walked out the door, heading down the street into an alley that led to "The Usual Spot". Everyone was already there. Typical, he was always late anyways.

"Roxas! You're late!" A buzz-cut clad boy with mischievous brown eyes scolded.

A bigger spiky haired brunette with chocolate orbs turned toward him. "Hayner, give it a rest already. You and I both know this is not surprising to either of us. He's always late."

The buzz-cut boy jumped to his feet. "No, Pence, I will not give it a rest! Some day Roxas has to learn that he can't just waltz in here whenever the heck he feels like! We have rules you know!"

Spiky-hair coughed. "No we don't…"

Buzz-cut blinked. "Well we should get some darn it!"

They continued to argue, and he looked over at the girl who had been quietly watching the spectacle from an old couch covered by a tarp in the corner. She stared back and smiled.

"God morning Roxas," she said. He blinked.

"Morning Olette."

"Pretty sunrise we had this morning don't you think?"

"Um, I must've missed it."

"Of course you did. That's why I took a picture this morning." She brought out her camera, which had been securely hidden in the hand opposite the blonde. She clicked it on, pressed a few buttons, and a moment later, a beautiful sunrise painted in vibrant hues of gold, red, purple, and pink, appeared.

"Have you ever considered becoming a photographer?"

She pulled the camera away, slipping it back into its case. "I've…considered it."

His blue orbs bore into her green ones. "'Cause you're really good at it."

A blush rose to her cheeks. "Say, you want to catch the next sunrise with me?"

A chuckle. "How do you know I won't miss it?"

Her lips upturned; a sincere smile. "I trust you."
