Alec Lightwood sat on the cold hard ground, his expression a mask of sullenness and indifference. Messily, his jet black hair cascaded over his clear blue eyes. He lazily shook them, although this effort proved useless as they again stubbornly fell back into place. The innocence of his pale eyes clouded in annoyance as he fought a quiet battle raging against emotions. Alec was, in a simple word, quite bitter.

"Well, you can't do this to me all day. I hate to break it to you, but we seem to wake and slumber in the same residence." A golden little boy of 13 years walked down the marble staircase. He held his little charming grin, one that might have lit an arena of torches.

Alec didn't budge. Of course he knew who lurked behind him. As uncannily talented as Alec was in reading and sensing people, it was this particular blonde prat that required the most of his efforts.

A second passed, and silence rang louder.

"I said I was sorry." Jace's voice quieted down, and Alec felt a tiny flame in him quiver.

"Actually, no you didn't." He mumbled indignantly.

Jace snorted, and the raven haired boy could hear the rolling of his eyeballs. Slowly and silently, the golden little one made his way down to the foot of the staircase to meet those sky-colored eyes.

Alec stared. His lips pursed. "Well-"

"I'm sorry." And Alec could hear the shy regret in his voice. "I should've known we would get in trouble. And that you would get a larger share of the blame as the responsibility of the eldest lies on you. I should've known that pestering with your belongings would turn you into an old, grumpy hag as well, sniffing dirt at the bottom of the stairs-"

Alec stood up abruptly, cutting Jace's half-assed apology midsentence. As much as Jace's arrogance brought him to this situation, and as much as a punch into his smirking face would satisfy him, Alec brought himself to smile.

Awkwardly, he shuffled his way down the halls. Jace stood motionless, slightly confused and slightly amused.

Idiot. Old hag, you say?

Alec turned around and flashed a smile so radiating that Jace stumbled, taken aback. "Better hurry, or this old hag will plunge you down a boiling pot of Izzy's experimental cooking." The paleness of his skies slowly lighting up in mocking insinuation.

Jace made a gagging sound and hurried after him, his golden eyes lit up in triumph and humor. He stood by the taller as they passed the streams of sunlight cracking through the clear teal glass. With his peripheral vision, Alec eyed how much the honey colored pupils ignited at the touch of sunshine. He bowed his head slowly.

In the raven boy's arms, he clutched a creased and newly-battered notebook.

Idiot. I just didn't want you to see anything.

Suns? Skies? Golden? Blue? He he he, lol, i loved the concept so much i just had to name my Jalec fic this. Malec doesn't use much of eye color relationships, so... (what i mean by this, however, is that i couldn't find a concept incorporating the cat-eye-aspect of Magnus with Alec's blue paleness) ALTHOUGH DON'T GET ME WRONG, MALEC IS THE BOMB! And I usually go for Malec over Jalec.

But anyway, review? I would love you so! I'm serious. This is my first TMI fic ever, and any sort of support or recommendation would be lovely 3
