Steve ran after his two best friends as fast as he could even though he knew there was no chance in catching them unless they slowed down. He ran to catch a certain red head about to jump up a tree but instead he was tackled by a boy with short black hair laughing as they fell to the ground.

"Hey that's no fair Bucky" Steve said helping his friend stand "I was about to catch her this time on my own" he stated

"Well punk think of it as me saving your life" he said laughing at Steve getting angry

Natalia came down from the tree to look at the two boys and watched as Steve was turning red as a tomato and Bucky laughing with tear in his eyes "what's so funny" she asked

"Well I was almost going to grab you when this jerk tackled to me thinking he was saving me from you" Steve said looking at Bucky annoyed

"Steve I would have kicked your butt if you caught me first" she smirked at him causing Bucky to laugh even more "but at least you tried though and that's all that matters" she said encouraging him

Steve just shook his head at his two best friends because he knew either way he wouldn't win because he knew they were right. He knew Natalia would have kicked his butt if he caught her first and Bucky always gets a kick out of making Steve mad. He smiled for moment though because he did take in what Natalia said to encourage him because he knew he was not healthy or strong like other kids, but he knew with his friends by his side that he was going to try.

A few years have now gone by for the three best friends. Both boys now serve in the military while Natalia stayed in New York to help with her family export business to Russia. Things have changed for them since they were kids because now their older and thanks to the super serum Steve is not known as the one and only Super Soldier Captain America.

Wow Rogers you look amazing Natalia said while staring at Steve for the first time

He smiled to try to hide his blush

Bucky on the other hand was glaring at him

Natalia noticed Bucky glaring "You know James your not to bad yourself, but give Steve a break" she smirked at him

Bucky just looked at her with a glare then turned to Steve and said "Fine shes right I'm only offended because now he can get all the dames"

Steve blushed and said "Well you don't have to worry about that because i still don't know how to speak to a women beside our own little red"

Natalia smirked "I'm so flattered" she said looking at Steve and rolling her eyes

That was the last time they were all together because the next day the boys were being shipped off to war. Natalia soon after was sent to Russia on her own to handle some personal business for her parents.

Steve and Bucky were waiting on the train while reminiscing about their younger years with Natalia how she used to beat both of them up. Bucky was smiling at the memory until he heard the sound of a train coming their way, but before he could say anything Steve was in Captain America mood zip lining down onto the train.

Bucky and Steve were the only ones to enter the train and right away when they had a brief second to separate they heard gun fire coming their way. Steve was able to defeat the shooter so he ran to Bucky's Aid as quick as he could. Steve noticed that Bucky was out of ammo so he tossed his gone as a distraction to the shooter leaving him an opening to fire. Before either of them had a chance there was a fire leaving a hole in the train and knocking Steve into the wall while Bucky went to the ground, but before Steve could recover he saw Bucky being thrown onto the edge trying to hold on for dear life. Steve tried to catch the shooter but only saw a fiery red head runaway. Steve tried to save Bucky in those few seconds when he turned back to, but it was too late.

Steve went on to defeat the red skull but little did he know that his life would freeze for 70 years. When he was found by S.H.I.E.L.D they had asked him to stay quiet, but now the world needed him thanks to Loki and his ways. Now Steve was headed to the Helicarrier to talk to Director Fury, but little did he know that his past might creep up on him.

As he walked into the Helicarrier and down the hall he only saw Director Fury talking to some women, and he had to shake his head in order to erase the memories. As he approached Fury he coughed in order to interrupt their conversation. He watched as they both turn to him in response, fury shook his hand then introduced him to the women, "Captain Rogers this is Agent Ramanoff" Fury said pointing to the women next to him

Steve finally looked at the women face for the first time and became speechless as he took her hand in his, but his mind was racing because he wasn't sure if it was possible. When he let go of her hand he said the only word that came to his mind and by her reaction he knew his answer.
