Mainly Pre-Rebellion Homura with some aspects of Post-Rebellion. Madoka is still a goddess. And some things from Online will be used.

Homura calmly jumped to the side, a homing missile just narrowly missing her, clothes fluttering from the sudden wind. Turning she fired off a sniper shot and watched in satisfaction as the Players' head reeled back from the headshot. Drawing a breath she reached into her time-shield and pulled out an RPG followed by her shooting down a buzzard heading for her. Her eyes perked up as she felt blood trickle down her head as a searing pain shot through her head, literally. Blood trickled down from the wound in her head just as the pain caught up with her. She ground her teeth as her time shield came to life making her freeze time.

Sighing deeply she felt around her head around the open wound before touching it with her Soul Gem completely sealing it. She surveyed the area and found the hidden sniper behind a tree just barely peeking half his head, she grabbed a heavy sniper of her own and fired off a round towards his way, bullet freezing in-place midway.

Looking at her map, she found more Players come her way. She glared at the upcoming would-be assassins "Their attempts are fruitless, even the Game knows this but it bothers placing a bounty of such magnitude on my head" she ranted. checking her minimap she noticed some jet figures North-East "They even band together to kill me…" she noticed an empty car and hopped in, key already in the ignition she strolled off into the city.

She rolled through the city of Los Santos and saw the upcoming players turning corners and coming in with military vehicles. Some even shot each other or threw explosives just to get to Homura faster. She wasn't alone as Madoka was watching her every move, always on guard just in case some otherworldly force tries to intervene. Heh, the Players have an Orbital Cannon meanwhile she has Madoka.

Speaking of Madoka, the one who'll she'll protect no matter what, noticed that Homura was deathly bored of her life without her. Even after she killed every wraith, so she came up with an idea. Even though Madoka dislikes the idea of killing one another, she had found a parallel universe where you basically do that making her sick but let me explain first.

This is new… Thought Madoka as she flew next to the countless realities she found. This universe seemed to call out to her, almost begging for her to come.

She was about to take over the universe but stopped, the feeling of this universe was foreign, alien even to Madoka almost like it refused her mere existence more than any other universe she found. Madoka overlooked all the actions of the currently living citizens and their movements, what bothered Madoka was when she tried to leave the piece of land all she found was another island covered in snow with a barren landscape but other than that...the entire planet was an ocean minus the two islands.

She shivered as she came back to the island and noticed someone in a car barreling down the highway in reckless speeds. Madoka flew by them and looked into the drivers seat with disbelief.

Had they no concern for their own lives and property? Hearing an ear-piercing screech, she watched as a Missle, a full-on military-grade missile, follow the speeding vehicle, successfully detonating on the rear of the car. Madoka watched in confusion as a Military jet swooped by and did multiple circles before heading off into the air, it was a bit too much even for enforcing a speed law!

Though as she watched it leave, her eyes widened as the jet suddenly blew up mid-air. How was this normal where is all the police enforcement? Was the question that worked through Madoka's head as she watched the smoldering wreck fall into the city.

Hearing gunshots in the streets, Madoka flinched and lowered her invisible form and watched as two individuals fought with rifles blindly firing their weapons behind cover even bringing out rocket launchers to kill each other! Where did they store such weaponry?

Madoka almost screamed as a rocket hit one of them head-on, blowing back his form as it laid in a limp mess. Madoka approached the body only for it to disappear, not even a piece of the body stayed behind. More gunshots followed the bodies disappearance, turning around Madoka saw the same individual from earlier come back with no traces of his death form. This time he was successful in getting revenge as a loud bang went off as he fired a sniper shot.

This time the other persons body went back and slumped to the ground before following the same procedure of the first guy, disappearing and coming back just to repeat the killing all over again. The civilians nearby when the firefight happened all screamed and ran in the opposite direction. Cop sirens blaring in the distance.

Kill, Die, Respawn she figured. Were these men like Magical Girls? They must be suffering then. Madoka reached out to their souls only to step back in fear and confusion.

There was no soul. She wasn't surprised at first, maybe the soul was in an object like a soul gem? No that wouldn't make sense since they actually die then come back as if nothing happened if a soul gem was broken then...then that'll end a Magical Girl. She fell to her knees as the revelation hit her harder than Sayaka's witch form.

Nobody died permanently was the conclusion in Madoka's head. But how? How didn't they die? She thought she got rid of Kyub- Suddenly both stopped firing, the streets turning silent as every civilian ran off, the police were far from near giving the two men time. Madoka peeked her head up and saw both of them staring at her she slowly stood up and backed away, the two following suit but much slower. Suddenly, something faded into the corner of Madoka's vision.

Someone has placed a bounty on you for 100000000XXXXX Dollars! Take shelter or run!

She stumbled back, a bounty? What does it mean someone placed a bounty on her? Has someone found her? The sounds of rifles clicking snap her out of her stupor but she couldn't think much more as she felt her body be filled with multiple rounds going from her body up to her head. She feigned death and fell back with a heavy thump. Healing herself silently, she heard their footsteps get closer.

She had to get away in this instant. She jumped up suddenly making the two stop in their steps, drawing her bow she fired off two quick arrows planting them in between their eyes. Frowning, she unfurled her wings and sped off into the clouds, breaking the cloud layer she hovered there for the time being, flapping her wings every now and then.

That did it, she had to fix this world for the safety of their citizens those men attacked her for no reaso- well actually, she did have a bounty. Shaking her head, she went back to topic. She spread her arms out as multiple pink sigils appeared with arcane markings on them spreading around 180 degrees in front of her. She focused her mind onto the world...only to feel nothing but void and strange readings. The sigils completely dissolved surprising Madoka, she tried again only to be met with the same result, her magic completely failing her.

She tried and tried only to fail each time, Madoka eventually gave up as her face fell. She cupped her chin as she delve into her options. Her eyes were drawn down into the city. The night made the city look beautiful yet...it didn't look real. Almost like there was some sort of filter that restricted it some looking more impressive.

She stayed hovering only to hear something in the distance. Glancing to the left she looked back down before looking back fully. Her eyes widened as something sped at her "Is..that a-" Madoka cried out as a jet slammed into her petite figure and made her spiral down for a bit. She righted herself and curled up slightly. Hearing the jet come back, she spawned her bow and turned around to face the jet fully "What am I doing!?" she screamed at it, her eyes narrowing.

Nocking an arrow it crackled with pink electricity as she poured magic into it, she aimed down at the jet and noticed who was in the pilot seat. It was the person from earlier, she said a small prayer before she sent the arrow flying towards the jet. The pilot didn't foresee the action as the arrow slammed against the cockpit.

The arrow broke into a hundred smaller pieces and pierced every crevice it could find. Half a second later, The jet blew up sending remnants of itself all over the sky. She forced an invisibility spell on herself with added layers just in case, not even feeling a touch of safeness afterwards. She spread her arms out once more and forced even more magi into the sigils.

Her hair stood up completely as her eyes closed. Her sigils raced across the island and eventually the second island, the sigils whispered amongst each other discussing what they found. After a couple of minutes, her sigils returned to her and gave her the result they ended up with...was startling.

This is not reality. This is back a faux world.

Madoka faltered in her hover. What did they mean that this is not reality? Spawning a grief seed, she tapped it against her soul gem as it was slightly tainted. Then she came to a realization.

People coming back to life despite having atrocious wounds. That's the thing, wounds, no broken limbs or even signs of dismemberment.

Then the surrounding buildings never never got destroyed or even got damaged in the firefight.

How they can suddenly get a jet despite having no connections with the military. How they can have weaponry banned to civilians.

...And the refusal of wanting to be purged, something stopped from proceeding as if an invisible hand held her at bay.

But why? Why did it refuse to be without violence?! She spread her arms once more, yes it would be futile but she wanted to know what type of world this was...if it even was one. This time she didn't pour too much of her magic into it and only cast some sigils, the results were...unexpected to the very least.

As they raced along the island, they targeted the two men she came across, diving into their forms. At first, the sigils didn't know where to start as they not a single soul in their bodies. Though they overlooked that as they felt a strange connection somewhere outside this world. Following the connection found them in the real world. They soon found out why there was a connection...

This world is a game. Was their response.

A game? A game about killing each other for the heck of it? What is this? some sort of joke?! Though that would explain why most of her abilities wouldn't work here, the game is suppressing her, it knows Madoka is here. She learned that they were called Players simply based on technical reasons.

Though there is a presence keeping the connections stable, an overseer of sorts that felt threatened upon feeling Madoka enter the game unauthorized. That destroyed half of her sigils upon finding his lair.

It knows Madoka wants to get rid of it, placing a bounty on her head was just one step to get every Player a motive to kill her. The information just kept on pouring into Madoka's head giving her a full description of what this game was and is.

Grand Theft Auto 5 made by Rockstar Games.

A game about...well you, the reader already know what it is so I don't need to write this.

Madoka's hands curled into fists. She closed her eyes as she forced the abilities of this world into her system. Opening her eyes she found new-found floaters around the corner of her vision, yet they weren't opaque and weren't much of a bother. She messed around with how the abilities work and adjusted them to her favor.

She swiped down revealing the Lobby list and Map. The lobby list showing all the people Playing this game, using the characters as puppets for one's likings and from the safety of their T.V's or Computers they can kill each other without having much of a consequence. That's why she couldn't feel a soul when she reached out to them or any soul other than Him.

Yes, there is a way to stop a player from playing but it was a violent one Madoka wanted to resort the least. This world wasn't meant for her and never will it be. But Madoka does know somebody who will at the very least enjoy it while Madoka finds a way to stop the Servers from running ever again. But that was in the past, we're in the future now.

Homura? Said girl jumped at the voice before turning to the clouds above her, seeing a glint of pink just barely visible "Yes Madoka?".

Are you having fun? Even if her voice sounded sweet, there was a hidden layer of anxiety, anxious of what though? Brushing her hair aside she stared blankly at the sky before responding "Well, although having a whole group of raging Players coming for me I found it at least a little entertaining" She heard Madoka draw a sigh of relief. So that was it, the anxiety of not giving her something to look for. She frowned and stared at her soul gem.

It was somewhat tainted before she pulled out a Grief Seed and tapped against it, erasing all of the black making it shine an amethyst purple. She kept walking and eventually made it out of the city and entered Blaine County. Unfreezing time she heard all the explosions in the distance followed quickly by silence, apparently Madoka told her that this really was just a sick game made for others in real life, that probably explained the Players rigid movement, unnatural and not smooth, they didn't talk at all was another thing not even reacting to the pain she gives them. Even after being filled with countless rounds, the bodies keep on tanking through as if nothing happened. She did have a Player come fully equipped in heavy armor, that was something she didn't want to fight as she was restricted to not using her magic other than time-stop. Something about offsetting the Game of the sorts.

Madoka was able to give Homura some the aspects of the Game such as the Heads Up Display. Homura was taken aback the first time she saw it as it told her how much ammo her current magazine held and where she was on the map along with the exact positions of the others. Speaking of which, it looks like some of the players gave up, the jets spreading out but not going towards her direction more or less avoiding her instead. Swiping down she brought up the big version of the map and only saw one other player coming straight towards her.

Turning around in her car, she sped up to the max the car can go and raced down the highway. And eventually passed the ever so famous Trevors airfield and made it across the small town/village next to it.

She rolled down the streets and parked outside a gunshop, she looked up and jumped up sitting down on top of the AMMU-nation sign and swung her legs back and forth. The player took forever to arrive and night quickly fell as the time zones were out of proportions. Homura was given the ability to never having to sleep so that was a plus.

With her eyes, she narrowed them down and saw the Player from earlier keeping his distance, she furrowed her brows before using a finger to swipe down the air, pulling down the lobby list. Comparing the name seen, she found the name of the player on the lobby list.

Cryst41 (12)

Homura actually laughed at the level and decided it was better if she cleaned her Deagle in the mean-time. Taking it apart she never noticed the player go off the radar, after cleaning and putting it back together, she heard a gunshot just behind her. Her head turned as time-stopped, she facepalmed "Of course...of all the times I should do this…" she slapped herself lightly on the head before standing up. The player was aiming an Assualt Rifle at her, the muzzle flashing as another bullet intended to propel out. Weirdly, the Player was in a strange clown costume making her sneer at him.

She pulled out a pistol that she repaired and shot the bullet with one of her own intending to destroy it mid-path, getting up she stood behind the player. Unfreezing time the bullet clashed against the players and broke it apart, Homura put her hands on the Players neck, cursing the height difference and twisted it in a full 180 degrees instantly killing the player in an unkillable way.

Cryst41: Oh thats some bullshit I clearly got her stupid ass lag

Fwc: Nub nobody can kill her she's a real fucking beast at this game :P

Random: Fax probably been on Online since day fucking 0. Look at her level...oh wait she doesn't have one

Homura hummed bringing her hand up to her face "Must be new then if he doesn't know what I am" multiple players already agreed on attacking Homura in hordes as going in alone would just be plain suicide. They discussed if she was a hacker one that has god-mode on but she feigned a death once to get them off the topic.

She jumped off the building and froze time once more and briskly walked into the gun store. The owner unmoving, she learned that the gun stores here have an infinite amount of resources and no matter how much stuff she takes it always comes back the next day as nothing happened. Waltzing into the store she walked up to the counter and studied the weapons before deciding just grab everything minus the Minigun.

It was too heavy much to Homura's disbelief.

Storing everything away she walked out as time ran normally and unfurled her wings, the top of the wings shined a heavenly white, the feathers fading into a black void by the bottom. Spanning them out to the max, Homura gave one strong push of her wings she was hovering slightly above the ground. They're onto you again look out I sense a more heavy presence of weapons Madoka informed making Homura nod Be safe she smiled at the warmth behind the words.

Insta Ga: Aye everybody, if you can, grab a juggernaut suit and I'll swoop by with a bus so ya'll can be surfed there. We need a couple of jets too and maybe some Khanjalis with some Chernobogs so we can shoot her out the air.

Homura raised her eyebrows viewing the chat, not once has somebody actually orchestrated an attack against her. The chat erupted in agreement.

Homura shifted awkwardly in the air as she felt a shift in the gravity, she hasn't felt this odd in for a while… "Huh…?" Her head tilted to the side slowly as she bent to the left slightly, Madoka screamed something in Homura's mind, something about an orbi-

Homura screamed in agony as a giant explosion detonated right on Homura and blasted her at a car. Even if the pain was there for a brief second, Homura felt the searing hot feeling behind the hit as she literally smacked by the shell before it detonated. The car she got rammed into was totally decimated as it started to light on fire, her limbs were torn and some were bent in odd angles.

OH MY GOD HOMURA ARE YOU OKAY?! She heard Madoka's horrified voice scream in her head making Homura scowl. She healed her wounds before popping her head "Yes, that was minor setback I won't let it happen again" Madoka began to blame herself before Homura began to shush her down. "-adoka! Madoka, it's not your fault I slipped up for a second and I regret it so please calm down!" that seemed to do it as the Goddess stopped talking.

She looked down and saw the chat.

Random: Aye I just hit her with an Orbital she's not dead tho

Insta: Well shit hit her again someone.

Quickly healing her wounds she jumped in the air and bolted towards .

Random: She running, I'll just do the auto-lock this better fucking work

Homura glared at the message before freezing time, looking quickly at the map she found Random's whereabouts, pretty un-original name. She cracked her fingers in anticipation as she flew towards the Facility where he was hunkered down while unfreezing time. She felt the same feeling from earlier and began to feel droozy, she shit herself on the face as her eyes widened. Barrel rolling to the left, she watched as the cannon round whizzed right past her head and onto the mountain below her. She managed to get out the blast zone as it blew up sending a wave of dirt at her.

She grinned at the successful dodge as Random ranted about her in chat once more. Flying down she landed right in front of the entrance of the Facility "Shut tight, well, no worries" she spawned countless rocket launchers as they all laid right in front of her. She activated time-stop and rushed to fire them all in time.

Picking up one she aimed it at the entrance and fired. Picking up the second one she fired, the rockets stopping right before hitting. And she did this action for the countless weapons she spawned. Her shield clicked as the gears began turning once more, time unfroze as the rockets banged against the entrance smoke billowed from the constant explosion before Homura just dove into the smoke, wings spread out.

Thankfully her little barrage of rockets was a success as the entrance was blown wide open and she flew down into the earth. She slammed against the second gate with bent feet to lessen the blow and blew right through. Looking up NPC's were already on the scene and started to shoot at her "They're not supposed to do that.." she whispered before stepping side-to-side before pulling a Type 39 rifle and putting a bullet between all their heads, the only noise after the ordeal was her sliding the bolt releasing the used bullet.

Random: GUYS SHE'S IN MY FACILITY!

Homura scoffed at his panicked message and pressed on blowing up the sealed door with a couple dozen C4's. Taking out more odd guards she came across the Orbital Cannon control centers silver door. Bodies laid behind her as the rifle's barrel was red hot from the constant usage. Throwing the gun to the side, she stood right in front of the doors.

Remember how I said Madoka had only one way to stop a Player from playing ever again? Yeah. Madoka didn't want to do it but seeing how this one particular player used a super weapon against one of her dearest friends, she had no other choice, the player gave Homura no other choice. This was the day their vendetta started against the Servers.

Madoka went through the trouble of linking the soul of the IRL person to their online character some pretty complicated stuff but she managed to pull it off. When she saw the players user, she cringed a little on the inside. Some big overweight guy who was looking a little worried although it was probably just a facade, thinking he was alright behind his screen. Linking the soul to the character meant one thing.

If your character died, then so do you.

Homura: Come out Random and maybe your death won't be as painful.

Of course Random didn't know what happened so he of course obliged, Homura watched as the door hissed open before being met with a hail of bullets. She rolled her eyes and stopped time, getting behind the player she pulled out a bowie knife and unfroze time. The bowie knife was inscribed with multiple engravings, it was something both Madoka and Homura made in the free time they had. The knife glowed pink and purple making a magenta-like hue. The player stayed standing there thinking he took Homura down when she saw his head turn to the side she stabbed the knife deep in his neck.

The Player gasped in pain as he started to scream for help in the game and in real life feeling pain in where he got stabbed online. Ripping the knife out she grabbed his head and put the knife right in front of his neck and sliced it, his blood sprayed all over the floor his body went limp as it slammed against the floor the guy in real life only slumped against his keyboard, foaming from the mouth. She looked up "Sorry you had to see that Madoka." ...It's alright it was for the greater good… frowning she pulled out the phone Random or Chris in real life now that Madoka found out.

She turned on the camera and took a photo of his body "Madoka send this picture to everybody playing this game." this is just an example, you are defenseless in real life, you are not like the online version of yourself who can come back to life despite dying multiple times. No, you are far from that, you are weak, you are a coward, you're nothing like what you Online character is.

(Not trying to offend anyone by the way)

Madoka obliged and hacked the games minor code, forcefully sending the photo to everybody's in-game phone and real phone, something that Homura eyes widened, she didn't even ask for latter but didn't say anything along came with the caption:

This is but just an example

~H

.

Homura stayed in the facility and used the bedroom to get some rest even if she didn't need it, the feeling of laying on a bed still can't be compared with anything else.

And you may ask, if Madoka can hack the game then why doesn't she shut down the game altogether? Well as said earlier, the game, GTA 5 is actually a spirit itself. He defends himself and his servers, she can only hack minor parts of the game without Him noticing and immediately kicking Madoka out. He was the spirit that set a bounty on both Homura and Madoka, Homura's being bigger the longer she stayed in the world.

Soon a full day passed by and by then every casual or hardcore player of GTA saw the picture, speculation rose in the online community as on why they got this picture along with the caption. Rockstar themselves saw into it but only shrugged it off as a 'hacker and promised to improve their security. The photo had already been viewed more than a million times and the numbers are still rising, the fact that photo looked like it was taken in game with realistic features is what bothered most of the people looking at it.

The caption that was tagged along made it even more mysterious altogether.

Madoka informed Homura of the raising fame her photo got making her smile. She began to think hard on what to do next, yes it was somewhat entertaining to see such lifeforms trying to kill just for something as measly in-game money but it started to become somewhat repetitive. Opening up the map she lazily scanned across the map and thought of a plan "Hey Madoka, you despise violence right?" it took a while but she got a hum in response "You want me to shut down the servers?" before she knew it time stopped and it wasn't her.

Homura, what are you thinking? W-I can't possibly do anything with Him around to defend himself Homura sat up and stared at the ceiling "While that's true, that photo and what you're telling me, it was able to spark a 'security raise' in the outside world. If I were too keep this up then it'll eventually lead to a mass shutdown due to them not being able to patch the game. Wouldn't you like that? To stop a game tainting the minds of other with these scenarios?" Madoka stayed quiet as time unfroze.

...B-but wouldn't people…you know...d-die? Homura sighed slowly nodding her head "Yes, it's a necessary sacrifice" Homura will try her best to make the numbers low to make Madoka happier. It's her main priority after all. ...Alright you have my permission Homura sat up straight and brushed her hair aside.

Standing up she walked towards the exit of the facility, looking up at the hole she unfurled her wings and with great strength flew out of the hole. The entrance was magically repaired somehow but opened as she neared. Racing out, she hovered above the entrance she let a grin cross her features "With Pleasure, Madoka" besides, Madoka didn't need to see the violence to come. She was the Demoness to Madoka while she was the Goddess to Homura. She wanted to make sure of that.
