My very first chapter fic! ~Holds up her right hand~ I hereby promise to do my best to update this on a regular basis. Thank you to everyone who reads this and follows it.~ Love, Sam.

PS. Bonus points to anyone who can guess the name of the literary work this story is based off of. Maybe I'll try to include the first person to guess it correctly in the story itself.

Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Titans.

"I pray you, is Signior Mountanto returned from the wars or no?"

"Surprise!"

Balloons rained down from the ceiling and rainbow colored confetti floated cheerfully around the three titans that emerged from the elevator. The roar of cheers and clapping filled even the large common room to the brim and although they were exhausted, the titans all broke out into smiles.

Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Robin had all gone on a top secret mission for Batman himself. It was sudden of course; they all had to pack their bags in the middle of the night and leave the tower in complete silence. The girls were made aware was because Robin had managed to convince his former mentor to allow him to tell Starfire and Raven. But that had been nearly three years ago. And finally, after years of waiting, the titans were reunited.

"This is glorious, friends! You have returned!" The shrill voice of Starfire rang out first and before Cyborg, Beast Boy, or Robin could take cover, she had wrapped her arms around all three of them.

"Air, Star!"

"Circuits! Man, my circuits!"

"My hairrrrrrrrrr!"

She released them unceremoniously, letting them all fall to the ground in one large heap. Robin smoothed his hair over as Cyborg shook himself out. Beast Boy managed to stand up, rubbing his head with his palm. "My brain, man…" He grumbled as he straightened himself out, tugging his shirt back down and running his fingers through his forest green locks.

"Don't worry, I'm sure Starfire couldn't have damaged anything that you don't have."

From out of the shadows, Raven appeared. She still wore her cloak, but she had been gracious enough to leave her hood down for the occasion. A smirk settled easily onto her lips as she took in the three men before her.

"Welcome home, by the way."

She gracefully floated over to Robin and Cyborg, giving each of them a tight squeeze before glancing over to Beast Boy. With a pause, her violet eyes studied him carefully for a second, scanning over his lean frame suspiciously.

"I'd hug you, but you probably haven't showered for three years."

"Don't worry Rae! I put some hand sanitizer on in the car." And with that said, Beast Boy wrapped his arms tightly around her.

Raven found her face squished against his chest and her arms pinned to his side. Nearby, a couple balloons popped and Raven's violet eyes narrowed dangerously. "You've gotten braver." She pulled back from the embrace when yet another few balloons were obliterated. "And stupider."

"And stronger!" Beast Boy winked in her direction, flexing her biceps for her. Unfortunately she had to admit that they were far more toned than they were when she had last seen him. But that simple admission would be kept to herself.

"Whatever."

And with that simple phrase, Raven floated back into the crowd of people, leaving Beast Boy and Cyborg to face the honorary titans and the other party guests.

Robin had long disappeared, gone to spend time with Starfire. The two had already made their way up to the roof, and they stood at the very edge, facing the bay and watching the waves crash against the shore of their island.

"You look gorgeous, Star."

The boy wonder blushed at his rare expression of sentimentality, but he hadn't seen her for three years. And she looked even more beautiful than she had ever been before. How could he not tell her how he felt when he hadn't even been able to talk to her at all for the past three years? Robin couldn't tell if it was the way the pale moonlight illuminated her shapely silhouette, or the way her normally bright green eyes seemed to glow with her joy, but Starfire looked absolutely radiant.

"Thank you, boyfriend Robin."

Her soft voice brought him out of his trance and Robin had to blink once before he slowly peeled off his mask and stepped towards her.

His arms fit easily around her and his lips sought hers out in the silence that lay comfortably underneath a blanket of stars. They stayed like that for a moment, completely lost in one another before she pulled away and he was left awed and breathless.

"I wish friend Raven and Beast Boy will one day feel this way. Especially after…" Starfire trailed off, but he understood what she meant.

"I'm sure they'll find someone, Star." Robin chuckled softly, the corners of his cerulean eyes crinkling with mirth. "Or else they'll just have to be with each other."

With another laugh, Robin leaned down to press his lips to hers once more. But even with his phenomenal detective skills, he still managed to miss the spark in Starfire's eyes that came from the idea he had just unknowingly given to her.
