Disclaimer: I don't own Teen Titans.
"Maybe we should-"
"Shut up."
"Hey, what if-"
"Quiet."
"M-Maybe we could-"
"Silence!"
"Yo! We're just trying ta-"
"I don't need help."
"Yeah, because destroying random buildings is just fine."
"It was necessary."
"You could have just teleported."
"To risky."
"I think you just like attacking things. Though I will admit I like being... Aggressive."
"No, I don't like attacking things; and eww."
"Liar, liar!"
"I thought I told you to shut up!"
"You did. I just don't care. Rude, remember?"
"Just be quiet! I don't have time for this. He needs to be fixed."
"Give me back my damn body and I'll fix him."
"No way! It's your fault he was nearly killed in the first place!"
"That's because YOU were distracting me!"
"I was trying to keep everyone alive!"
"How unlike you."
"Grrr..."
"Think we struck a nerve."
"Shut it!"
"Wait... Do you hear that?"
"Damn, it's the Titans."
"Our FRIENDS. Remember?"
"They left him to die! They're no friends of mine, and neither are you!"
"Rage, don't you think you might be taking this a bit to far?"
"No, and stay quiet! I need to focus..."
###
"Raven!" Robin calls out. "Raven!"
"Yo Rae! At least say somethin!" Cyborg adds.
"Please friend Raven. Will you not converse with us?" Starfire whimpers.
The three Titans are standing in the middle of a destroyed city block. The maps on their communicators indicate that the empath of their team should be here, and after what happened before, the three friends are desperate to find her.
What happened you ask?
Raven blew up a city block.
Okay, I suppose there is more to the story than that. The Titans had been fighting the HIVE FIVE and something had gone terribly wrong...
###
"Take this crud muncher!" Gizmo laughed as he slashed at the nimble martial artist. Robin took a quick step to the side to avoid the attack before rushing in to let loose a barrage of punches.
"Man. This is seriously getting old." Cyborg complains. He takes a shot at Private Hive before blocking a punch from his gloved fist.
"I do wish this would end." Starfire mutters. "My genakmaphor is burning." A quick starbolt is blocked by Kid Wykkyd who immediately disappears.
"Dudes, I could use a bit of help!" Beast Boy yelps, dodging another attack from Mammoth. He shifts into a bird in his attempt to escape.
"A bit busy." Raven growls in response, lashing out at See-More with a blast of dark energy. The strange boy returns fire with a hail of small eyeballs.
A few more minutes of fighting finds the Titans in a rather good position. Three of the HIVE are knocked out, Robin, Starfire and Cyborg are handcuffing them. Kid Wykkyd and Mammoth are the only two left and are staring down Raven and Beast Boy.
This is when it happens.
Mammoth charges our favorite shapeshifter, who shifts to dog form before hopping over the large teen...
Right into Kid Wykkyd. The sorcerer closes his cape around the struggling boy and phases into the ground. Raven immediately starts to panic, she is normally calm and collected, but she is also fully aware of the danger her teammate could be in.
Turning around, she notices that the other Titans aren't even worried. They are just calmly beating down Mammoth. (As calmly as you can while beating the crap out of someone anyways)
He empath starts flying high, trying to locate her friend while simultaneously trying to ignore her ripped up emoticlones; especially Rage. Sadly, her restraint is broken when Starfire flies up to her side asking innocently "What is wrong?"
What's wrong? WHAT'S WRONG?! Their friend just got abducted and all they can ask is "What's wrong?"!
Rationally, Raven knows they probably didn't notice the abduction. Rage, on the other hand, insists that they simply didn't care enough to help.
All this aside, Raven is desperate, and when Raven gets desperate her powers tend to spike. Rage takes full advantage of this fact and forces Raven aside so that she can take the reigns. Being no less desperate than Raven, Rage does the only thing she can think of to find her missing friend.
She blows stuff up.
To the other three Titans, it just seems as if Raven suddenly explodes. Black energy washes over everything in a hundred meter radius, completely destroying the area. It only stops when it finds its target.
Kid Wykkyd and Beast Boy hadn't gone far. The sorcerer wanted to be close by to help his friends escape. So, sadly, he isn't fast enough to teleport away before Raven's power washes over him and his captive.
Having found her target, Rage teleported over to where her powers had touched Beast Boy. She finds him and Kid Wykkyd unconscious on the ground on the fifth level of a small apartment building. The outer wall is completely destroyed.
Kneeling down next to her friend, Rage teleported the sorcerer over to the other Titans before examining the changeling.
"No physical injuries to speak of, but a nasty fever." Rage growls. "Magical sickness... Damnit. This would have never happened it the others just helped us finish off those two beforehand."
###
Of course, the other three Titans had no idea that Beast Boy was in danger. They just knew Raven blew up a city block. It had been evacuated beforehand because of the fighting, but she still wrought several million dollars worth in property damage.
"I wish to know our friends are okay now please." Starfire whispers.
"Join the club." Cyborg agrees, feeling slightly ill. "I hope nothing happened to em."
"Raven just BLEW UP a city block. I'm fairly sure something happened." Robin growls.
"Come ta think of it, what happened to BB before Raven went supernova?" Cyborg inquires.
"I am unsure, I was not watching." Starfire admits.
"We all weren't." Cyborg sighs.
"The communicators say that Raven should be right here... But they don't say anything about Beast Boy." Robin reports, growling. "Come on Raven! At least talk to us."
From behind the ruins of a large building, the empath narrows her eyes as she looks upon her supposed teammates.
"Come on Rage! They can help. It wasn't their fault they didn't notice, we can trust them." Happy chirps.
"It is only logical that we at least give them a chance to explain before we judge them." Knowledge points out.
"Just give me my body back." Raven snarls. "I can fix him."
"No!" Rage hisses. "We can't trust them!" The emoticlone spares a look down at the sickly changeling held in her arms. "We don't have time to waste. We need somewhere safe to heal him."
"The tower!" Affection says. "Our room preferably..."
"No! And again, eww!"
"You totally just ruined the chance of getting her to go to the tower. Great going." Brave huffs in irritation.
"Well excuuuse me princess!" Affection retorts sarcastically.
"Shut up!" Rage seethes.
...
"Why is he always the one getting into trouble?" Rude asks suddenly. "I mean, seriously. How many times has this little green snot gotten into trouble compared to us? Or even compared to Robin?"
"It's because he's always on the front line." Knowledge responds. "Animals don't do long range very well."
"Not the time to be discussing this." Rage growls. She continues to watch the three other Titans' search for a moment before diverting her attention elsewhere. Clutching her sick friend, the empath flies up into the air, being sure to stay out of sight. She quickly shoots off towards the docks, knowing the perfect place to stay.
