A/N (08.27.14): For anyone seeing this, I am going to try and RE-EDIT this first chapter and some of the other first chapter that I'm now looking back on as very OOC. This is my first multi-chapter story that I ever tried to write, and it is my longest and still unfinished. I really can't stand that, and considering how much everyone likes this the most when it comes to my works, I feel it only fair to try and go back and make the characters more solid now that I'm not.. what, 12? That being said, I hope readers, old and new ones alike will enjoy. I continue this merely for all of you.

(Old A/N): I seriously like my idea for this story. I like it a lot. I hope that all you will like it too. Maybe not as much as me, but oh well. Hope you like it still.

Of a Robin & a Raven

Prologue

"Girls!" their mother called up the stairs, "Get ready for bed."

"Yes mom," they choroused from their room as they stopped playing.

Raven smiled to herself as she heard them. Her little girls were so good, and she loved them dearly. They definitely kept her busy these days.

She went into the living room to pick up a couple of stray books she saw from the corner of her eye, noticing as she stooped down and grabbed them the large, various pieces of clear broken glass sticking out from beneath one of the end tables. Raven shook her head and sighed. She couldn't be mad at them, they hadn't quite perfected their powers yet. But they were getting there fairly well considering their young age. Raven herself may have been more disiplined – and for good reason, but she recalled what being only six was like.

After standing and levitating each piece of glass carefully into the garbage nearby, she stacked the books on the bookshelf once more and started up the stairs.

"You two better be ready," Raven said, a slight warning in her voice as she walked down the hallway. She could hear the girl's giggles from their room as they ran out the door and met their mother. Raven bent down and picked them both up, one in each arm, as she carried them back to the bedroom.

"How are my two favorite girls in the world? Ready for bed I see," She observed as she entered their room. They both wrapped their arms around her neck and held on tightly, one still giggling the whole while. Lightly, Raven set them both down on their respective double bed.

"Mom?" one of them piped up, eyes bright, "Can you tell us a bedtime story?"

The first that had spoken was Violet. She was the older of the two twins, having long lavender hair and deep purple eyes that were full of life. And while she certainly looked like her mother, she was more open and positive then one would expect, just like her father, not needing to truly control herself as much to use her latent telekinetic abilities.

"Of course, Violet. What book would you both like?" Raven asked her daughters.

"Vi and I talked about it, and we'd like you to tell us how you and dad met, and fell in love," said the other quietly, a small smile on her face.

The second little girl's name was Ebony. She had long black hair that trailed down to her lower back and piercing blue eyes like her father. She was the younger twin, and was far more shy then Violet was. While she was more bookish and withdrawn, it was merely because of the small telekinetic power that she did posses was darker, as Raven's turned out being, and it required more of her focus and control. With this, she was learning to keep most of her emotions under wraps fairly well and limit her power using, instead showing signs of natural fighting skills like her father and taking that up more religiously.

Raven smiled at both of them as they sat on their beds, patient and hopeful. She walked to Ebony's bed and sat beside her, patting the spot on her other side as she looked over at Violet. The small girl quickly jumped off of her bed and onto her sisters excitedly.

"Alright girls, I guess I should start from the beginning…"
