I couldn't believe that I was home. I had left here, vowing to not come back. Now, here I was. On my old front porch wondering if I had made the right decision. The reasons of me leaving was after my parents deaths. After their funeral, I had packed a bag, left a note, and headed for New York. Leaving wasn't that hard. After all, I never really did have any friends and the only family I would miss was Aunt Jenna and Jeremy.
My sister and I never had a good relationship. I did love her, but she was just what everybody ever talked about. When the car crash happened, everybody consoled her and never gave a blink my way. I was just the weird older sister that no one ever talked too. Sure people said, "I'm sorry for your lose.", and, "It will get better." Yeah right.
They had called a few times but I only ever answered Jeremy's and Jenna's calls. They were the only ones I could really talk too. Jeremy had called a couple days ago to tell me what happened to Jenna and Uncle John. It took awhile, but I needed to come home. Now time for the big home coming. I slowly lifted my hand and knocked on the door. At first, no one answered the door, but then it opened.
"Hello." said a deep voice. At the door was a handsome man with jet black hair and a strong jaw line. He sounded annoyed.
"Um, who are you?" I asked. He game me a weird look.
"I should be asking you the same thing. Now please hurry it up and tell me what you want." he said in a very rude attitude.
"You know, if I wanted to meet someone with as bad as an attitude as you, I would have stayed in New York. Now please. Can I go into my own house?" I said in a very sarcastic tone. He looked at me with confusion.
"Your home?" he said.
"Damon, who's at the door?" called a voice I knew all to well. There she was. Standing in the hallway, confusion and disbelief on her face.
"Faith?" she asked. I smiled weakly at her. She looked exactly the same Only with longer hair and her face filled out a bit more. She walked up to the door, pushed Damon out of the way and hugged me. This reaction shocked me, but I returned the hug. It was good to see her, even after everything.
"I missed you." she said in my shoulder. I was taller than her, by a few inches. We both had dark brown hair, but I had higher cheek bones, wavy hair instead of straight, paler skin and striking blue eyes. Like dad.
"I missed you too." I said. "But can I ask why is there a douchebag in our house?" I asked her. She laughed and hugged me tighter.
"You know, the douchebag has ears and wants to know what is going on here. Who the hell are you?" I stepped away from Elena and looked at Damon straight in the eyes.
"My name is Faith Gilbert and I'm Elena's sister. Nice to meet you." I said.
