Biography: Cheryl Munson is a character in a story I did for a Scooby Doo fan group on Yahoo.

In the story, Velma Dinkley was a fan of a fictitious group known as "Land Fill" whose lead singer is Scottish. Cheryl inherits a mansion only if she stays alive for a month. Velma and Cheryl are tortured and overcomes the villain in the end.

There's a band that I like called Garbage. Cheryl was patterned after the lead singer Shirley Manson, who by the way is from Scotland. Although Shirley and Cheryl are similar in attitudes and dress, in physical appearance, they are significantly different.

Some people who don't know about Shirley or the group should pick up the four albums and listen to them.

Cheryl in the story could also be a counterpoint to Daphne of Scooby Doo. In the story, Cheryl is the rich self assured woman who in the end is made human by the realization that she needed help through Velma.

Even though Cheryl will develop a deepening friendship with Velma, she will not interfere with the Mystery Inc. gang as a whole. In the story, there was an awkward moment when Cheryl forgot her towel and was naked in front of Velma. Velma just gave her a sarcastic look as if to say, "I seen naked woman before, don't panic". Cheryl will reveal that her training and upbringing revolves around going to an all girl school, I'm considering putting in a lesbian subplot, although that won't be the focus of the stories.

I'm kind of honored that a couple of other authors used Cheryl as a pivotal part of their story. In it, Land Fill was on a cruise ship when an incident happened which Cheryl witnessed. By the way, it's a damn good story on it's own merits.

I'm at a loss as to which direction to take Cheryl, whether to go the tough bitch Xena like character, or the scatter brained moron who keeps getting in trouble where Velma has to get her scrawny butt out of. Suggestions wanted and appreciated.
