Summary: Danny sees a girl while she's driving that sparks interest. Pre- any DL stuff.
Disclaimer: I don't own any CSI NY characters. OCs are mine.
Danny was leaving a scene on the Upper East Side. He rubbed the back of his neck while he drove. He had been up for close to 36 hours and he wasn't done yet. He pulled up to a stop light.
A red truck pulled up on his left. There were two girls in the front and two in the back. Danny looked once when they pulled up but turned away he didn't want to stare. He heard music playing. It got louder and he had to turn. The girl in the passenger seat was pulling a shirt on. He saw her bra when he pulled it on and he smiled.
The girl turned and winked at him and he turned back to stare at the road. He couldn't help but look back. The windows were down in both vehicles and he could hear the girls laughing. The girls were dancing and singing along with a Black Eyed Peas song. The one in the passenger seat turned and smiled at him again.
Danny saw a hand reach around from the back. She had a piece of paper in her hand. "No, Layla," the girl in the front said and she hung her head in embarrassment.
Danny took the paper, and then the light turned green and the two cars headed down the street. The girls waved and turned down a street to the left, and Danny continued on straight.
When Danny was sitting at his desk in the lab later he pulled out the piece of paper from his pocket. He opened it. The girl's name and phone number were written on the paper. He laughed to himself. Just then Flack walked in and sat down in the chair at the other desk.
"What's that?" Flack asked.
Danny smirked. "A phone number."
"Really? You got a phone number?"
"Yes, as hard as it may be for you to believe I got a number. I was at a light and this truck pulled up with these girls. The one in the passenger seat was pretty hot and one of her friends gave me her number."
"Call her," Flack responded.
"Now?," he looked at his watch. "It's after 11."
"She was probably going out. It's Saturday night. Give her a call."
"Alright," Danny picked up the phone and dialed the number. "Hey, Keri this is Danny from earlier tonight. We were at a light next to each other." He heard Flack snicker- he had no game. "Yeah, where?" OK, maybe he did. "Alright we'll see you then."
"You said 'we'."
"Yeah, you're going too. She asked me to bring a friend. So, let's go." Danny jumped up and grabbed his light jacket from the back of his chair.
