Two Weeks

Tony hated lying to his team. They were his family. But he didn't have a choice. Jenny, as he was ordered to call the director, forced him to do it. This was a mission of utmost importance. Though he didn't fully understand why Jenny had put so much thought into her plot. He was ordered to keep quite

And that was how he came to tell his family that he was in Germany. Well he wasn't. His cell phone was in case someone tried to triangulate his signal. Truthfully he never left. He had a doppelganger to in his place... he had to get the notes from the security meeting later. Tony even planned to 'bring back' gifts for everyone. Jenny suggested that he did that. That was what family did when they left for any period of time.

In realty he was tracking down an arms dealer's daughter. If Lee was there she would say he was legally stalking Jeanne Benoit. That was what it felt like he was doing. He would 'accidentally' meet her out side the hospital she worked at. He would run into her at her favorite spots. When Jenny first pitched the idea of going undercover Tony was a little uncomfortable with the target. She was just an innocent girl. Jeanne had no place in this.

But the idea of proving that he wasn't an idiot to his director was very compelling. She didn't trust him. In her eyes, he was an overgrown frat boy that was boss only by default. He had to prove that he was worthy to be in charge. He was hand picked by Gibbs after all.

Gibbs never saw him like that. He knew the real Anthony DiNozzo. Gibbs, in his unorthodox way, knew that he was ready... Or so wanted Tony to believed. Gibbs wouldn't have left him in charge if he didn't trust him.

It was a full time job. Hiding from everyone that knew him and trying to get a date with a pretty girl while lying to her about who he was. When he was with her he was Tony DiNardo, film professor. He wasn't Anthony DiNozzo NCIS Special Agent in charge of the Major Crimes Unit. He immersed himself in the role.

So for two weeks he weaseled his way into Jeanne's life and he hated every moment of it.

Yet at the same time he loved it.
