The Last of the Warblers

This hit me when listening to the Chameleon Circuit song 'Sound of Drums' which is inspired by the Doctor Who episode of the same name.

It's set in the unlikely scenario that someone is trying to kill off all of the Warblers.

"Sebastian, you have to hold on."

"Killer..."

"No Seb, you hold on till the paramedics get hear, you'll be ok. I promise."

"Blaine..."

"Hold on Bas."

He had to hold on. Blaine wouldn't be able to deal with it any longer. He had spent too long trying to escape, playing from bar to bar, never staying anywhere too long. Now there were only two of them left.

Kurt had gone four years ago, his body found laid out, peaceful even- free from the torment of his life had given him.

Wes and David had died like the heroes they had always been to Blaine, taking the charge, fighting their assailant off with the beloved gavel and a lacrosse stick respectively. But even they...

Thad, Cameron and Beat had hidden well, or so they had thought but they too had followed- James, Flint, Jesse and Ethan had joining them along with countless others that pained Blaine to think about.

Especially the three which had hurt him most- Nick, Jeff and Trent.

No one had ever found Trent's body and when Blaine found out he was missing Blaine had felt the sunshine had also gone missing from Blaine's life.

Jeff and Nick had been found, mangled, clutching at each other, in a burned out crater, as hard and as cold as statues finally together in their last moments.

He couldn't loose Sebastian too.

"I'll look after you, we'll go somewhere safe where no one will ever hurt us, ever."

"I don't need...a wife..."

"Just hold on, you'll be ok. We'll find a safe place, a basement in Alaska or..."

"It would he hell for me...imprisoned there forever...with you." The venom in Sebastian's voice was a shock but Blaine ignored it. They were the last of the Warblers.

Sebastian had used his precious energy to finally talk over Blaine and it was showing on his face.

He had gone deathly pale and Blaine was panicking, tears running down his face, his hair as limp as his Bowtie. He was clutching desperately at Sebastian, mouth pressed into his hair as Sebastian's head rolled to one side. His eyes were blank, the only colour on his face was from the blood.

"NO! No! No..." Blaine turned his nose into Sebastian's neck, coating his pale face in tears, soaking his expensive collar.

Sebastian had tried to warn him *'Can you hear them, they're coming'* He hadn't believed it, he thought it had been Sebastian paranoid again.

Blaine was dying and he didn't want to go.

The last bit is in reference to the song 'The Doctor is Dying' also by Chameleon Circuit (and of course David Tennant's last lines), I just thought it was fitting.
